In the journey of 50 years, PTL has become major source for ‘worm wheel' and ‘worm shaft' supplier for all

major elevator machines manufactures.

In order to meet meet the customer demand for highly reliable, safe and trouble free smooth performance

elevator machine, PTL has entered into a technical collaboration with SICOR S.p.a, Italy a leading

manufacturer of elevator machines in Europe.

These machines are manufactured in Premium's Pune Plant, equipped with the latest machine tools, testing &

inspection facilities.

Technical Details

l Gear Casing : Petra machine gear cases are of rigid cast iron construction, with esthetic styling.

l Traction Sheave Shaft : Traction sheave shaft i.e. output shaft is made of high tensile alloy steel.

l Worm Shaft : The worm shaft is made of alloy steel and specially processed for elevator application. The

worm threads are profile ground to high accuracies. The angular / tapper contact bearing arrangements on

worm shaft ensures a perfect alignment with motor.

l Worm Wheel : The worm wheel design consists of centrifugal cast phosphor bronze rim shrink fitted to a

hub.

l Traction Sheave : The traction sheave is made of specially developed SG alloy casting with controlled

hardness to increase wear resistance.

l Electric Drive : Electric motor is specially designed for Elevator application and rating and is based on 50%

counter weighing . Options are available for VVVF, Two Speed (AC2) / Single speed ( DOL) motor.

l Brake System : The fail safe type electromagnetic shoe brakes are designed to operate on 110 volts D.C.

The braking effect through spring may be manually released for emergency hoisting under power failure.

l Lubrication : The worm shaft and worm wheel as well as the bearings are all adequately lubricated by oil.

l Base Frame : Total elevator i.e. gear box , motor, brakes are mounted on the rigid compact fabricated steel

base frame.
