DESCRIPTION
There was a time when fitting a pedestal basin involved bending pipes and soldering and you had to be something of a contortionist if you wanted to hide the pipework and make the connections. But that was yesterday and yesterday’s gone. Roger Bisby goes into cheat mode. The Fischer basin fixings have enough adjustment to allow you to put the basin on the wall, and then lift it to get the pedestal out. The diamond core kit comes with a positioning guide to save pilot drilling.

These days mostbasin wastes canbe fitted dry on therubber seals, butthis basin had avery uneven wastehole seating whichdripped no matterhow much I tried totighten on theseals, so in the endI abandoned therubber and usedsome PlumbersGold sealant withMicroban fromEverbuild. It did thetrick and won’tcause any moretrouble.
