Company Boundary
What do we mean by Point Of Origination?
5
♦ All are valid ‘points of origination’, but we shouldn’t
just focus on centralised processing
♦ Capturing further out in the organisation and even
outside of it can drive significant business value
♦ Low volume but high value document capture can
reduce risk, accelerate processes and increase
compliance

What might a real enterprise look like?

♦ Multiple Points of Origination
♦ Multiple media types
♦ Multiple manual steps
♦ Multiple parties involved
Where are your points of origination?
♦what are your complex processes? Are they reliant on information and documentation flow and input from various internal and external resources?
♦How distributed is your workforce? Working
from home, remote or mobile locations?
♦What are the time pressures on your processes? How does document flow hinder these?
Where are your Points of Origination?
Is your business enabled enough to face
these challenges?
Lets find out how Kofax help capture your
documents at the point they originate in your
organisation

Capturing Documents – Best Practices
Capturing Documents – Best Practices
Avoid using flash, which can wash out part of the image.
Use good, even lighting to get a faster shot without blur.
Hold camera steady and check the lighting before taking a photo.
Avoid shadows.
Avoid wrinkled pages or upturned corners if they include data.
Avoid a background that looks too much like the image itself.
Avoid a background containing data that could be interpreted as
image data.
Rectangular overhead camera shots are best.
Document should fit into the shown rectangle
