CRAFTING A VISION

The Winona Bridge Project should refl ect the current era while respecting the past. The existing

bridge is a visual icon for the city, and so the new bridge should defer to its prominent visual

presence. The new bridge should celebrate the river’s natural beauty and the cultural history

of Winona that is intertwined with the river. Together, the two bridges should symbolize a

welcoming gateway to beauty, culture, and prosperity.
