What to ExpectEach week, rising 1st grade thru rising 5th graders, jump into action, participating in exciting sports programs, exploring nature, becoming involved in performing and creative arts, playing a part in group activities, and attending special events. Our Activity Blocks are sprinkled throughout each week, giving campers fun and variety in their camp day.
Our campers expand their horizons, embark on new adventures, and most importantly, have fun. Our exceptional program and dedicated staff create an environment that forges lifelong friendships among our campers. We create a summer experience that is unforgettable!
Our camp features a unique selection of indoor and outdoor activities and field trips that take advantage of resources in the local area.
Our specialty camps are optional programs, operating during regular camp hours, which provide even more choices for unique and exciting adventures.

Our daily pep rally is a time for campers to gather for songs, chants
and challenges that promote collaboration.
It’s showtime! Campers will create, design, act, perform and everything
in-between.
We’ll keep campers moving and thinking as they play sports and games and participate in timed challenges on
their own and with friends.
Let the games begin! Campers will practice sportsmanship and critical
thinking while playing fun video and board games with their peers.
Art is more than just painting and drawing. We’ll provide campers with
different mediums and projects to keep them inspired.
Campers will have a blast as they initiate, plan and manage academic and
enrichment projects all summer long.
Lights! Camera! Action! Campers’ creativity will shine as they explore
photography and videography projects.
By participating in exciting S.T.E.A.M. activities, campers will ask questions,
design, build, create and maybe spark an idea that will someday change the world.
Children will join forces to solve mysteries, complete puzzles and build
with Legos, K’nex, blocks and other recycled materials.
Our campers will pay it forward as they help kids in need by planning a
community service event from brainstorm to implementation.
Prepare to be amazed. Campers will explore the exciting world of
entertainment, including cartooning, magic, puppeteering, and more.
Campers will experiment with musical instruments, develop an appreciation
for past and present music, and express themselves creatively.

TGA Tennis (rising 1st -3rd grade) June 8th – June 12th
The US Tennis Association Mid-Atlantic Section (USTA MAS) is providing TGA (Teach, Grow, Achieve) Premier Youth Tennis Camps at Chesterbrook Academy! Our summer camp gives an unforgettable experience for your child by providing expert instruction, match play, rules & etiquette lessons that keep them active throughout the program. We use modified equipment (e.g. lower bouncing balls, mini nets, smaller court sizes) and provide prizes and loaner equipment (racquets, balls) for all participants. Ideal for beginner and intermediate players. This
camp is a one week camp, from June 8th to June 12th and will be from 9:00am -12:00pm.
Amazing Athletics (rising 1st -3rd grade) June 22nd – June 26th
Amazing Athletes uses a multi-sport program to benefit children physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally. Our program introduces the fundamentals of 10 different sports (soccer, hockey, volleyball, basketball, tennis, lacrosse, football, track and field, baseball, and golf) in a non-competitive environment. Children in Amazing Athletes routinely gain greater confidence, learn to combine fitness with fun, and develop 6 key motor skills: Balancing, Running, Jumping, Throwing, Catching, and Kicking.

Musical Theater 3 week Camp (rising 3rd -5th grade) June 8th – June 26th
In our Musical Theater camp, rising 3-5th graders will participate in a wide range of creative activities including speech, dramatic movement, improvisation, snippets and scene starters. At the end of the three week, half-day camp, they utilize all the skills acquired in our acting workshops to perform a short, scripted production for parents and friends. In a fun-filled atmosphere, our children’s theater classes aim to give young people ongoing confidence, self-esteem and skill in verbal communication.The theme for the Beat by Beat Press’s children’s musical, “PRESS START”, focuses on: Acceptance, Teamwork, Diversity, and Overcoming Obstacles.The musical theatre production that we will perform will depend upon the number of campers enrolled.
Little Vet/ Medical (rising 1st -2nd grade) June 29th –July 2nd
This introductory program brings the exciting world of veterinarians to life! Through the use of interactive demonstrations, crafts, and games, campers will learn how to take care of a pet and use instruments and equipment that real veterinarians use. At the end of the club session, each camper will take home their very own veterinarian supply kit to show off the amazing skills that they have learned!
Music Camp (rising 1st -3rd grade) July 6th – July 10th
The Music camp introduces percussion instruments to rising 1st- 3rd graders. Campers will learn the basics of music and composition. Quiz challenges are completed in a game-show style where campers play as contestants to see how much music theory they’ve learned. The Music Camp also promotes students' ability to compose and perform simple rhythms, melodies, and perform a song.
Spanish Immersion (rising 1st -3rd grade) July 6th – July 10th
Chesterbrook Academy is offering a 2 week Spanish Program for grades 3rd to 5th . This dynamic and engaging foreign language enrichment program will teach children a new language in an immersion-based setting (maybe). Our approach is through play and activities. Children learn through music, playing games, hearing stories, role playing and doing simple art activities. This campo is a two week camp July 6th to July 17th, from 9am to 12pm.

Academic Camp 2 week camp (rising 2nd -5th) July 6th – July 17th
Worldly Adventures: Tour the World Students will learn where food comes from by investigating the food supply chain and how farms work. Students will create their own market to showcase and sell goods that come from farms. Students will investigate the process of raising animals, planting crops, and processing products.Week 1: Campers will engage in an interactive farming simulation and discuss important components of farming during week one. They will investigate what it takes for a farm to operate from exploring and sorting seeds and foods, to investigating the roles and jobs available on a farm. Week 2: Working in teams, campers will design a 2-dimensional farm, and create a group logo for their farm. Campers will create a farmer’s market simulation and experience buying and selling the goods that they produce on their farms.
Academic Camp 2 week camp (rising 2nd -5th ) July 20th – July 31st
Culinary Explorations: Farmers Market Each junior explorer will become Head of Tourism. Campers will learn about different places around the world and create a travel brochure to educate their peers about a place they have never seen.Week 1: Campers will travel the world, exploring a different country each day of the week. During their stay, they will discover the uniqueness of that place and its people. They will learn some of the language, uncover traditions, awesome destinations and other exciting aspects of travel in that country. Campers will write postcards that share what they learned on their “travels” and enjoyed most about their “visit”.Week 2: As campers transform into junior travel agents, they will team up to create tri-fold size brochures of the countries they visited in the first week, sharing their favorite things about them. At the end of the week, they will pitch these destinations to potential travelers, stamping passports as they “visit” each place.

iMovie Camp (rising 3rd -5th grade) June 29th – July 2nd
The iMovie camp combines music and technology. Campers will be rising 3rd - 5th graders. Composers will learn about different camera angles and shots, and learn about basics of video editing. Campers will be split in groups and produce a commercial project, music video, and a mini-gameshow reviewing the basic concepts of music.
Creative Arts and Crafts Camp (rising 2nd -3rd grade) July 20th – July 24th
We invite these ages with various experience levels wishing to explore arts and crafts to join our camp. Art camp provides children a wonderful introduction to several forms of visual art. Each child will Each day will bring a new project that may include drawing, painting, printmaking, hand crafts or sculpture. We plan to teach, explore and design unique projects.

Gear Shifters STEM Explorers (rising 1st-3rd grade) July 13th – July 17th
Amusement Park CampYour ticket to ride at your very own Amusement Park! Campers will build a new ride each day, learning how to make things spin, roll, turn and rock! Then they will take what they have learned to design their own thrills and challenges. Motorized models maximize the action and fun. Each camp day includes carnival-themed games, group challenges, model-building and more. At the end of the week, parents will get to see the motorized Lego® Amusement park their children created and all Campers take home a custom mini-figure at the end of the week.
Gear Shifters STEM Explorers (rising 1st -5th grade) June 15th – June 19th
NASA® Meets Star Wars® Space Adventures CampInspired by NASA and Star Wars®, our Space Adventures Camp is packed full of models that will
make your imagination blast off! Each day, campers will learn about real-life space exploration and build models related to the NASA space program. Campers will also be building their favorite Rebel and Imperial spacecraft such as X-Wing and Tie Fighters. In addition, the day includes group games, challenges and more. Our Space Adventure camp provides the spark for imagination and creativity to take off on an adventure that’s out of this world! All participants take home a custom mini figure at the end of the week!
DIY Camp (3rd-5th ) July 13th – July 17th DIY Summer Camp is the creative distraction tactic and make a summer camp fun! We have a dozen fresh ideas that will get your child experimenting, creating and building summer memories. This camp will focused on creating a unique way to experience the fun of arts and crafts in a relaxed, encouraging environment. There never seems to be enough downtime to just create. This DIY summer camp will help to open that creative side of kids brains!
Jamband Camp (3rd-5th ) July 20th – July 24th The Jamband Camp reinforces composition techniques from the building blocks of music: melody, harmony, and rhythm. The ensemble of rising 3rd -5th grade campers will be comprised of writers/composers, percussionists, and vocalists. Campers will be able to write, compose, and produce a hit song, while also learning about different music styles.

MAD Science (rising 1st -3rd grade) July 27th – July 31st
Do you love to build, design and fix things? Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math are all explored in this new camp! Put on your engineer’s hat for this exciting week, where we will assemble and work with a variety of simple machines, structures and more! Become a true Mad Scientist as you learn about chemical reactions, and a young astronaut while exploring the mysteries of the solar system.

Take a dive into the diverse world of comics with Ms. Summers! Students will walk through the process of character design, story creation, layout, and creating a finished product. Students will take home a completed comic of their own design at the end of the week.
Academic camp (4- 1 week sessions for rising 1st grade) July 6th – July 31st
Rising First Graders will be introduced into the First grade classroom atmosphere with exciting, fun, and educational learning centers and hands on activities with a focus on Language Arts and Math. Through small group and differentiated instruction, the skills set we will review or extend include: Decoding and encoding, Listening Comprehension, Reading Comprehension Spelling, Vocabulary, Number and Operations, Algebra and Algebraic Thinking, Writing , and practice independence and time management skills.
