    FFPs Frequently Faced Problems

High humidity caused due to the evaporation of pool water leads condensation and this results in corrosion of metaland mold, mildew, fungus growth, wood rot and deterioration of windows, lights, furniture etc in indoor swimmingpools. It also creates highly uncomfortable atmosphere for swimmers.

    General Recommendations

The relative humidity in the Indoor Swimming Pools should be maintained at 505! at about "#$% during wintersand "&$% during summers.

    Our Solutions

    Conventional Method

%onventional pool ventilation systems attempt to control humidity in a roomby removing a portion of the high moisture content air and bringing in lesshumid air. 'll the money spent to heat the pool water and maintain the roomsair temperature is simply discharged outside. In addition, the dry air broughtin from outside must be conditioned (heated in winter or cooled in summer

created additional operating costs). Since the absolute humidity outdoors iscontinually changing, a ventilation system alone cannot control humidity inthe room. *uring the winter it brings in too much cold dry air and in summer itbrings in air containing more humidity than the inside air that is beingreplaced.

    Solution

The primary advantage of a desiccant dehumidification system is its ability to dry air to a very low humidity levels. 'desiccant dehumidification system can very easily maintain 505! relative humidity within the indoor swimmingthus, eliminating humidity problems year round, regardless of outdoor weather conditions. 'ccording to the studies, conducted by 'SH+' and several manufacturers of desiccant systems, the average energy consumption of adesiccant dehumidifier is as much as -0! less than that of a comparable refrigeration system. So, desiccantdehumidification systems can eliminate condensation while, at the same time, reducing operating costs. There isalso the potential for a reduction in maintenance to the building and euipment inside as it is no longer sub/ect toecessive humidity and the problems associated with it.
