INTRODUCTION TO AIESEC AIESEC is the international platform for young people to discover and develop their potential to have a positive impact in society. Our innovative approach to developing young people focuses on taking a proactive role, developing self-awareness and a personal vision, building networks, and developing capacity to drive change. We do this through an international platform of opportunities that provides over 12,000 leadership opportunities, 10,000 work abroad opportunities, 1000 conferences, and virtual tools to build networks.

Our approach to engaging young people consists of several important principles that enable us to develop individuals that are valuable to organizations and society.

Individuals taking responsibility for their participation in AIESEC, resulting in a proactive attitude.

Nurturing self-awareness through goal-setting, mentorship, visioning exercises, enabling them to act with purpose.

Challenging perceptions off the world and themselves, allowing them to see problems and issues from different perspectives and coming up with innovative solutions.

Building networks to assist them in achieving their goals and vision.

A major component of our activities are Projects Based on Exchange, facilitating intense intercultural and practical experiences for youth across the globe with NGOs across India around issues such as Education, HIV/AIDS, Child Rights, Corporate Social Responsibility etc. We conduct over 3000 such traineeships every year.

We have a membership base of over 3000 young people across 25 offices across India. We work with several prominent corporations and NGOs such as ABN AMRO, KPMG, Godrej Industries, The Tata Group to name a few.

AIESEC in LUCKNOW has grown from infancy to a stage of vitality in the last few years and presently has a membership of 50 students from various colleges in the city. We have made the first strong steps for the growth that we have been looking for, with the implementation of short-term-action-plans to generate activities, knowledge and experience in the LC. Now, with the first steps done, AIESEC in LUCKNOW needs to work with the knowledge and experience generated in this period. We need to realize more external events, to increase the human resources meanwhile applying the design team output and continue with the X growth as well as the implementation and generation of more exchange-Based-Projects. We encourage you to take the challenge and live your dreams by working as part of the AIESEC PBOX using your strength, courage, knowledge, experience and the ambition of continues learning to drive the growth needed.
