Wood Platt Chief Executive Officer Separate Entity Operating Personnel Volunteer Groups 11 Executive Director Slide 13 Recommended Option Handicap Staff Course Rating Staff Operations Staff Communications Staff GAP Board of Directors Chief Executive Officer Responsible for supporting WGAP, MGAP and the Association Committee structure Comprises current staff although, given the expanded mission, it is likely additional staff will be required as funds become available Mark Peterson will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer 12 Slide 14 GAP Board of Directors Recommended Option ROLE Responsible for the strategy and governance of the overall organization Approves policies recommended by committees as appropriate Approves all finances and budgets Supervises the Chief Executive Officer MEMBERSHIP Seven members GAP President Bob Morey will be Chairman Three women Three men 13 Slide 15 GAP Board of Directors GAP Board of Directors Recommended Option 2017 and Going Forward Three members including one woman (nominated by WGAP EC), one man (nominated by MGAP EC) and the current Chairman of the Board Selects new members of the Board of Directors as well as officers of the Association (but not those of the WGAP and MGAP ECs because they will each have their own nominating committees) Except for the Chairman, it would not be required that members of the nominating committee be current members of either the WGAP or MGAP ECs GAP Nominating Committee 14 Slide 16 Recommended Option Responsible for managing championships and team matches and supervising the womens tournament and match play committees and the mens Championship Committee Supervises Girls and Boys Junior committees and MGAP Play Golf Committee Develops championship and team match budgets Recommends policies and practices to the Board to promote golf for all constituencies (women, juniors and men) Acts as a feeder to the Board Current EC memberships and nominating processes will remain in place for each Each Executive Committee will prepare its own budget and submit it to the Board of Directors for approval GAP Board of Directors WGAP Executive Committee Tournament Committee Team Match Committee Junior Committee MGAP Executive Committee Championship Committee Junior Committee Play Golf 15 Slide 17 WGAP Executive Committee Executive Director Jane will retain her role as Executive Director of WGAP. This will continue until it is determined whether a separate individual is needed as Executive Director of MGAP and/or if funds are available to hire an MGAP Executive Director. They should not replace a permanent loss of revenue or be used for daily operations.
