What is TRI-MEweb?

EPA’s TRI electronic reporting system– Web-based application on the Central Data Exchange

(CDX) No more software to download

– Can be accessed anywhere there is an Internet connection

– Enhanced security– File format is extensible mark-up language (XML)

instead of flat file

RY 2009 TRI-MEweb Issues

Users had trouble finding/generating their Electronic Signature Agreement (ESA)

CDX has recently changed from SSL (secure sockets layer) to TLS (transport layer security)encryption.

– CDX login page will not appear and seems to be off-line– If you are using Internet Explorer, go the Tools menu and

select Internet Options. “Use TLS 1.0” should be checked. Confusion between the preparer transmitting the

form to CDX to be certifier approving and submitting the forms to EPA

RY 2010 Solutions

CDX email will be sent to CDX inbox AND Certifying Official’s email address with PDF attachment of ESA.

TRI-MEweb Troubleshooting Guide included in RY 2010 RFI.

Getting Ready for TRI-MEweb RY 2010

Planned Release Date: January 2011 Technical Contacts will receive an email with

a facility access key– If problems with finding email from CDX with

access code, facilities should either contact the TRI Regional Coordinator/CDX Helpdesk or use option 1 in TRIMEweb using last year’s technical contact name and phone number method to access the facility data profile.
