1. Members Letter_”On the Road” [Date, place] Dear Members, We would like to invite you to participate in the “On the Road” workshop that will be held at our General Assembly this year. Through this workshop, our association will have a chance to give its opinion on MSF’s associative growth and development in the coming 5 – 10 years. As you may recall, one of our first tasks following the approval of the governance reform was to define an international vision, which included growth of the movement. The IGA 2013 decided to tackle the vision on growth through developing two roadmaps: one on Associative Growth and the other on Executive Growth. Both roadmaps should be ready for the IGA 2015. The Steering Committee on the Associative Roadmap, made up of IGA and board members from the across the movement, has been established to develop this associative framework. To inform this work, a consultative review with the MSF Institutional Members is being carried out. The Steering Committee has developed an “On the Road” workshop and proposed that all 23 MSF Institutional Members organise this workshop during their GA 2014. We have created a space to hold this workshop at our GA. It is made up of two parts: (1) a exhibit showing the MSF Associative history so we see how our associative roots began and how they developed over the past 40 years; and (2) a one hour workshop where we will discuss the pillars of associative membership and brainstorm on how we see the future of our association. The conclusions of the workshop will be shared with the Steering Committee to help guide their discussions.
