MEMORANDUM

Subject : Amendment to the provisions of Rule 15 of GPF(Central Service) Rules 1960 -liberalization of provisions for withdrawals from the Fund by the subscribers — adoptionof O.M. No.3/2/2017-P & PW(F)(ii) dated 7U‘ March, 2017 of Department of pension &Pensioners’ Welfare under Ministry of Personnel, PG & Pensions, Government of India— clarificationthereof.

- The undersigned is directed to inform that Government of Tripura, Department ofFinance has issued a Memo. vide No.F.25(25)-FIN(.G)/2016 dated, Agartala, the 18"‘ September,2018 adopting of the O.M. No.3/2/2017-P & PW(F)(ii) dated 7"‘ March, 2017 in respect offacilitating the employees of the State Government to seek withdrawal of GPF afier completion ofl0(ten) years of service.

After issue of the Memo., some Departments have sought clarification on Para.7 of theO.M. No.3/2/2017-P & PW(F)(ii) dated 7'1‘ March, 2017. It is clarified that State Government hasadopted the O.M. No.3/2/2017-P & PW(F)(ii) dated 7"‘ March, 2017 for giving facilitation to theState Government employees “for withdrawal of GPF after completion of l0(ten) years of services.To sanction of GPF advance / Part withdrawal, Department may follow the Rule 20 of DFPRT,2017 also as per earlier occasion.
