“A principle or set of principles
laid down by an authority as
incontrovertibly true.”
in an obvious and provable manner
All Scripture is inspired by God and is
useful to teach us what is true and to
make us realize what is wrong in our lives.
It corrects us when we are wrong and
teaches us to do what is right.
Beliefs established by the Bible
as incontrovertibly true and
essential to be a follower of
Jesus Christ

Let me now remind you, dear brothers
and sisters, of the Good News I preached
to you before. You welcomed it then, and
you still stand firm in it.
It is this Good News that saves you if you
continue to believe the message I told
you—unless, of course, you believed
something that was never true in the first
place.
I passed on to you what was most
important and what had also been passed
on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as
the Scriptures said.
He was buried, and he was raised from
the dead on the third day, just as the
Scriptures said.
For Christ didn’t send me to baptize
[baptism is important but this is more
important], but to preach the Good
News—and not with clever speech, for
fear that the cross of Christ would lose its
power.
The message of the cross is foolish to
those who are headed for destruction!
But we who are being saved know it is the
very power of God.
The message of the cross is foolish to
those who are headed for destruction!
But we who are being saved know it is the
very power of God.
The message of the cross is foolish to
those who are headed for destruction!
But we who are being saved know it is the
very power of God.
In the beginning God created the heavens
and the earth.
So God created human beings in his own
image. In the image of God he created
them; male and female he created them.
Then God looked over all he had made,
and he saw that it was very good!
So God created human beings in his own
image. In the image of God he created
them; male and female he created them.
Then God looked over all he had made,
and he saw that it was very good!
When Adam sinned, sin entered the
world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death
spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth,
everyone who sins is a slave of sin.
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth,
everyone who sins is a slave of sin.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free
gift of God is eternal life through Christ
Jesus our Lord.
And they will go away into eternal
punishment, but the righteous will go into
eternal life.
As the Scriptures say, “No one is
righteous— not even one. For everyone
has sinned; we all fall short of God’s
glorious standard.
As the Scriptures say, “No one is
righteous— not even one. For everyone
has sinned; we all fall short of God’s
glorious standard.
But God showed his great love for us by
sending Christ to die for us while we were
still sinners. And since we have been
made right in God’s sight by the blood of
Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s
condemnation.
But God showed his great love for us by
sending Christ to die for us while we were
still sinners. And since we have been
made right in God’s sight by the blood of
Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s
condemnation.
We are sure of this because Christ was
raised from the dead, and he will never
die again. Death no longer has any power
over him. When he died, he died once to
break the power of sin.
We are sure of this because Christ was
raised from the dead, and he will never
die again. Death no longer has any power
over him. When he died, he died once to
break the power of sin.
But now that he lives, he lives for the
glory of God. So you also should consider
yourselves to be dead to the power of sin
and alive to God through Christ Jesus.
So we are always confident, even though
we know that as long as we live in these
bodies we are not at home with the Lord.
For we live by believing and not by seeing.
Yes, we are fully confident, and we would
rather be away from these earthly bodies,
for then we will be at home with the Lord.
For we live by believing and not by seeing.
Yes, we are fully confident, and we would
rather be away from these earthly bodies,
for then we will be at home with the Lord.
But now God has shown us a way to be
made right with him without keeping the
requirements of the law, as was promised
in the writings of Moses and the prophets
long ago.
We are made right with God by placing
our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true
for everyone who believes, no matter who
we are.
God saved you by his grace when you
believed. And you can’t take credit for
this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a
reward for the good things we have done,
so none of us can boast about it.
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has
created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can
do the good things he planned for us long
ago.
But he was pierced for our rebellion,
crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we
could be whole. He was whipped so we
could be healed.
