CDM Issues

What is CDM?– CONSTRUCTION DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT– It’s the safety framework that UK civil engineering sites have

to work in– It’s a non-negotiable legal obligation on STFC’s part as MICE’s

host– It’s implemented by a Principal Contractor, Willie Spensley– And it’s monitored externally by EDP Consulting Engineers Ltd

Interaction with Users– Take Willie’s induction course– Wear PPE (hard hat, safety shoes and hi-vis vest)– Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for

your work– Use common sense and take notice of Willie– Sign in and out of the Hall
