WEBSITE:http://bit.ly/5KSJCSWhen and Where? February 24th at Coquina Beach – Registration and check in begins at 7:30 am. Festivities begin at 8:00 am – The day includes the race, food, music, games, and the popular “Children’s Auction” with St. Joseph “dollars”.
How to Participate as a Team: Running, walking and fundraising as a team, is a great way to enjoy the 2018 Footprints in the Sand 5K Walk/Run with friends, family, parishioners, and coworkers. Forming a team encourages fun competition among the many groups that support our SJCS students! For classrooms, clubs, parishes, and businesses, this is a great way to show team spirit. Team members may host group fundraisers to generate additional donations. Teams may also recruit a sponsor and credit the funds to their team! Student team members may combine their individual “Champion” pledge forms. On race day, running/walking together can make the event even more enjoyable.
It’s easy to create or join a team! Simply register online. During registration you will be prompted to create a runner profile and you will have the option to join or create a team. Be creative and choose a team name and have fun!
Can I run as an individual? Of course! We would like everyone to participate and individuals are welcome to join this fun event in support of SJCS. 3 Ways to Make a Donation:
1) Sponsorship – Become a sponsor and receive recognition on the day of the event. Contact Maria Hussey at [email protected] or call 941-755-2611 for more information.
2) Donate as a team member or donate to a team online. 3) Support a student runner: Sign up to sponsor an SJCS student that you know and want to support when they
share their official “Champion” form with you. What are Champion Pledges? Each SJCS student has the opportunity to share a “Champion” pledge sheet and collect individual donations as sponsors. Top students will receive a monetary prize and be entered into a drawing for a gift card. What are “St. Joseph Dollars”? Students enjoy receiving St. Joseph Dollars (no monetary value) on the days leading up to the event. St. Joseph Dollars are awarded for acts of kindness, courtesy, team spirit, meeting goals, etc. On the day of the Footprints in the Sand 5K Walk/Run, a special Children’s Auction is held and students may exchange their “dollars” for special prizes.
