1 Recommendations

The committee is recommended to:

2 Background / Discussion

2.5 The EL&L Performance during the third quarter of 2014-15 can besummarised as follows

2.6 There are a total of 29 measures evidencing performance against the keyservice objectives this quarter (including 4 annual measures updated thisquarter). 24 measures (83%) are on target (green). A comprehensiveperformance monitoring report for the period October - December 2014 isavailable on Ward Pages.

2.7 5 measures (18%) demonstrate performance below expectations and thesemeasures, including actions being taken to improve performance are outlinedin the Exception report in Appendix 1.

The following table provides a summary of the extent to which performance isimproving or not, in the short term and in the long term, based on the “up/down” arrows for each measure set out within the full report.

2.9 The Head of Finance and Monitoring Officer within Business Services havebeen consulted in the preparation of this report and any comments madehave been incorporated within the report.

3 Equalities, Staffing and Financial Implications

3.1 An equality impact assessment is not required because the report is to informcommittee on performance and there will be no differential impact, as a resultof the report, on people with protected characteristics.

3.2 There are no specific staffing or financial implications arising from this reportbut trends are used to inform improvement activity and future budgetplanning.
