100% linen is used to achieve a kasuri (resist-dyed) look and produce a unique color effect. The history of linen runs parallel to the history of human civilization. Flax to produce linen was cultivated by the ancient Eg yptians. There are records of its use in Japan in the Asuka and Nara Period. Its texture gets better with use.
