Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in working for Home-Start Oldham, Stockport & Tameside (HOST).

HOST is a family support charity that offers a wide range of support services to families with young children. Due to securing additional investment to develop our work in Tameside we are now looking for several highly skilled and enthusiastic people to join our team.

The new work in Tameside will focus on supporting families with children aged 0-11 and will involve working with families that come to us via Tameside Early Help Panels. We will act as lead professional in the CAF process where appropriate and will be offering a combination of volunteer and paid staff support to families, which will vary according to their individual needs. The paid support will be offered by our new Family Support Worker team. Family Support Co-ordinators will be responsible for recruiting, training and supervising volunteers to work with families and for overseeing and regularly reviewing support and our new Senior Family Support Co-ordinator will be responsible for supporting the new staff team and for attending regular early help panels.

This new work is known as the Tameside Community Parents model and is commissioned by Tameside MBC. It is initially funded to March 2020 and continuation beyond this is dependent on the impact of the model and on funding availability.

We also have a Family Support Co-ordinator vacancy in Stockport, which is funded by Stockport CCG. This is also currently funded to March 2020 and continuation is subject to funding.

The final vacancy (Family Group Co-ordinator) is for a short-term piece of work on a project aimed at reducing loneliness in young mums. It is funded by Home-Start UK and the British Red Cross to March 2019. This work will involve running a series of six week family groups across Oldham, Stockport & Tameside and organising several large-scale events aimed at supporting young mums to build their social networks.
