MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN

uNtvERstTy GocE DELCHEV, SHTlp, NORTH MACEDONTA

ANDUNIVERSITY OF GJAKOVA "FEHMIAGANI". REPUBLIC OF KOSOVO

THIS AGREEMENT is made this 22-nd day of October 20L9, by UNTVERSTTY GOCE DELCHEV,

hereinafter referred to as "UGD", and University of Gjakova "Fehmi Agani", Republic of Kosovo,hereinafter referred to as "UGJFA".

The two institutions wish to expand scholarly ties and promote closer academic eollaborationand therefore agree as follows:

3,. Both institutions are united by common interests and objectives in educationalexchange, and they wish to maintain and promote channels of eommunication thatpermit those mutual exchanges.

This agreement will govern the general framework of academic exchanges betweenUGD and UGIFA. lndividual working agreements, should they arise, will be executed forspecific projects under this Agreement.The individual working agreement(s) referred to in paragraph 2 may be developed for,but need not be Iimited to, the exchange of faculty and students,Each institution will be responsible for the travel eoasts of its own faculty or officialsinvolved in mutual exchange activities under this agreement.Each institution will take action to make the substance of this Memorandum ofUnderstanding known to its appropriate personnel, and will provide normal andreasonable assistance such personnel in regard to the administrative details ofexchanges and work agreements"

Each institution will appoint a liaison. The liaison will, together, be responsible fortracking cooperative efforts, facilitating mutual assistance, and making an annual reportto the both institutions of the previous year's joint activities and initiatives in progressfor the next year.

This Memorandum of Understanding may be modified or extended by written consentof both parties as provided by its officially authorized representatives.

8. This Memorandum of Understanding will become effective on date above and remain

effective for three years from that date. lt may be renewed for additional term of threeyears by an exchange of letters.

9. This Agreement does not oblige either UGJFA or UGD to take any financial expenditureor other contractual obligations.

10. The assignment of this agreement to any other party or parties is expressly prohibited

except with the written concurrence by the appropriate authorities of both UGD and

UGJFA,

11. The English version of this agreement shall be authoritative version of the agreementfor all purposes. ln the event of a conflict between the English version and any

translation of this agreement, the English version shall control.12. This agreement constitutes the entire agreement of the parties: and any future

agreement, understanding, or a waiver, to be binding upon the parties must be reduced

to writing signed by the parties, Any amendments to this agreement based uponprovisions for such amendments already incorporated hereunder can be authorized on

behalf of UGD by Rector.
