Non-invasive laser-like lipo and laser lipo machines have ZERO known side effects and the technology has been in use since 1994. The technology is safe because the treatment does not cause any damage to cells.

Section 2 - Service And Quality Q. What is the build quality of the machine?

Some of the body contouring machines on the market are really cheaply made. Look carefully at the quality of screens, connection cords and the diodes. You do NOT want cheap screens, cheap connection cords or cheap diodes. Poor build quality leaves a poor impression on your clients and would not be consistent with your professional reputation.

If not, you need to understand how much it typically costs for repairs if the machine breaks down. Some repairs can be a few thousand dollars while others can be upwards of $10,000 or more.

Many machines have high servicing costs after the warranty period is over. Even worse, in some cases there is no guarantee of service and support being available.

Amazingly, there are some machines on the market that the local distributors will NOT provide service for. If you have patients booked, you want to make sure you either that you get a replacement machine or that the turnaround time for repairs is only a day or two

Some machines have re-occurring costs associated with actually running them. This may include regular servicing. In addition, there will be the costs of replacing parts that wear out. These may or may not be covered under warranty.

Make sure you’re fully aware upfront of any ongoing costs.

Every manufacturer will quote figures for the inch loss achieved. HOWEVER to get a true picture of the effectiveness of a machine, you need to compare the figures on a CONSISTENT basis. The total fat loss achieved is fairly meaningless unless you take into account the number of measurement areas actually used.

For example, some companies use 12 measurement areas for the numbers they quote – some use 3. So make sure you know the basis of calculation and divide the total inches lost by the number measurement spots to get a clear picture of which machine performs the best.

Look For: Average inch loss per measurement area

Q. Do you have to do anything to maintain the fat loss?

Some treatment programs and machines require ongoing and repeated treatments to retain the results. While this may appear to be an advantage because patients will need extended treatment, in fact it usually works to your disadvantage. Patients tend to be dissatisfied and will usually look for alternatives.

Superior regimes involve an initial course of intensive treatment combined with a longer-term maintenance program, ideally involving just slightly better lifestyle choices.

Look For: Treatment that produces long term results

Q. What is the mechanism of action?

Radio Frequency and Cavitation type machines kill the fat cells. This means that if the patient does not change their lifestyle, they will regain the fat lost but in strange places like the back, knees and arms. This is because the fat has to go somewhere and the original fat cells no longer exist.

Non- invasive laser-like lipo and laser lipo machines naturally cause the fat cells to open up, release their contents, and shrink in size. Because the cells remain alive and healthy, if the patient gains fat again later, it will be in normal looking spots.

Q. How many diodes does the machine have? Spread out over how much area?

The diodes are what produce the results. So the number of diodes determines both the time needed to treat and the effectiveness of the treatment. With more diodes you have better results. And the more spread out they are the less treatment time you need.

Q. What is the treatment area of the machine?

Some machines have a 2 inch diameter of treatment area. Some have 2 square feet of treatment area coverage. The larger the effective treatment area, the less time for treatment and usually better results.

Q. What is the treatment time per any given area?

Some machines only have the active treatment over any given area for a minute or two total. Some machines have it constant for 10 minutes. Some machines split the beam, so it covers a larger area – but only for a split second at a time, because the rotating split beam is only over any given area for a second at a time.

Q. What is the treatment area of the machine per 10 minutes of time?

Some machines take literally 2 hours to treat an entire mid-section. Some take 20-40 minutes.

Look For: Fast treatment time. The more patients that can be treated per hour, the more revenue you can generate

Q. Does your machine kill or damage the fat cells?

Some machines like Cavitation and Radio Frequency involve freezing, cutting and other action that results in actually killing fat cells.

This can have serious consequences. If the patient regains fat, for example reverting to their old lifestyle, they will gain the fat back in unnatural places. For example, in the elbows, knees and back. The fat has to go somewhere and if some fat cells are dead, the body will put the fat elsewhere. This will result in an ugly, bizarre appearance and very unhappy patients.

2.4 Investment Level Required And The True Cost To Own A MAJOR factor in any investment decision is, of course, the level of capital investment required. But it isn’t just the upfront cost, but the ongoing cost, and how much money you have in your bank at the end of the year. The “True Cost to Own” reflects all of those factors.

At first glance, the initial investment required is similar for two of the systems - $19,000 for the Lipo Light with a whole body vibration unit and a Neuro Change Technology module and $22,500 for the Vevazz™ Slim Line System (that includes the vibration unit and Neuro Change module as standard).

The base price for the Contour Light machine is $23,995 but an additional $4,500-6,000 is required to add a whole body vibration unit and additional pads to deliver full body treatment. Even that would leave the Contour Light machine with lower capability than the Vevazz™ Slim Line System.

The Advanced Photonics Ultra Slim™ machine requires a significantly higher investment than either at $50,000.

IN ADDITION…there is another factor to take into consideration. That is the very real value of the comprehensive and proven business system that comes as standard with the Vevazz™ Slim Line System.
