Medicines - Transient illness• Noted on Health form by parents• Medicine labelled with name and clear

instructions of dosage by the parent• Medicine handed to First Aider - administered and

recorded by them• Handed back to parent at end of event

Medicines - Seasonal (i.e. Hay Fever)• Depending on age and maturity of young person

may be self administered - take advice from parents - have details of use/dosage

• Ensure parents give you a labelled and named spare

Medicines - Long Term (Diabetes, Epilepsy)• Depending on age and maturity of young person

may be self administered - take advice from parents - but still check they have administered - have details of use/dosage

• Ensure all leaders can recognise signs - including Parent Helpers

• For younger children/not yet under control conditions parents may need to attend event

Security of Money and belongings – Stipulate what they can/cannot bring

– Run Camp Bank

Family Camps– Child Protection (check rules)

– Adults do not bounce

– Not all parents are good role models - keep them active as you would any young person
