Introduction
In the background of growing culture and civilization the education level of the people
also increases. At the same time the fear also creeps in. The fear of theft and intrusions will
always haunt the minds of people. The security has been a matter of worry starting from
individual persons to the country level. In this back drop it is felt that there is need to study the
CCTV based security solutions. Larson & Toubro Limited has been a leader in the above
business. Hence the topic of study has been selected.
Objectives and summary
This project work in comprise of following objectives.
1. To study the factors influencing marketing strategies of L&T with respect to CCTV based
security solutions
2. To make a competitors analysis of products.
3. To study the innovative marketing strategies adopted by L&T for CCTV based security
solutions.
4. To study the role of marketing mix in CCTV based security solutions.
5. To study the customersresponse to the CCTV based security solutions of L&T.
The above objectives are indicative and will be fine tuned in consultation with both internal and
external guide. A structured questionnaire will be designed and data will be collected. By
applying appropriate statistical tool the data will be analyzed and the conclusions will be drawn.
Review of articles / literature
Robert L. Mitchell (June 2013) in an article titled Keep watch: 5 cloud security cameras in
Economic Times states that there is a need to keep an eye out for intruders at home, keep tabs on
the baby in the other room or just want to see what the pets are doing when one is not around. He
says that thecloud security cameras can help.
Kim Paone (Feb 2014) in his article Security the Strong Driver of Consumer Interest in Home
Automation states that consumers increasingly rely on surveillance cameras and NVRs to
bolster the security of their homes and businesses.
