PROVISION OF GENERAL PROJECT ENGINEERING SERVICE
Star Energy (Kakap) Ltd. (Company) Currently is producing oil from four platforms KH, KF, KG and
KRA and five sub sea wells. Oil is produced and shipped to the Kakap Natuna FPSO for storage and
export via tankers.The Kakap Gas Compression facility which consist of gas gathering, treatment and
compression facilities on the existing KH, KRA and KF Platforms through two infield pipelines to export
gas to Singapore via the WNTS pipeline is in operation since 2001.
Further development of the Kakap field are as follows : tie in of KG gas fields into the system, providing
KF Gas Booster System for lowering suction pressure of incoming gas supply, production system
evaluation, process plant optimization, improvement facility/ modifications to existing facilities for
increasing facilities reliability & integrity, and facilities for Water Injection Application in KF Field.

pipeline (89 KM.) from the Extraction Plant, Prabumulih Barat to Pulau Layang. The extent of the
pipeline is from the mating outlet flange of the pig launcher at Prabumulih Barat to the inlet mating
flange of the pig receiver at Pulau Layang. Another 6” pipeline (3KM) from Pulau layang to Pertamina
refinery.

The stinger shall be able to lay the pipe in the range 4” to 48” at a maximumdesign water depth of 150 meters, and be operational up to Beaufort Scale 5 weather condition.
