GENERAL OBJECTIVE: To develop four basic skills of
learning; Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE: To give a lesson on various
aspects of life.
INTRODUCTION
Author Vivian French is a British lady who came forward
as a children’s author in 1991. Her famous books are:
Singing to the Sun Sparkle Street The Tiara Club Mrs. Floss and Mrs. Fleece
A Dream Comes True and Tomkin to the Rescue
It is a fantasy story of dreams, friendship, promises being forgotten and remembering to fulfill them.
It has two main characters:
Tomkin --- the tailor boy
The Stool --- Tomkin’s friend and advisor

RECAP The Recap will be done in the form of
sequenced questions for active participation of the student.

Individual Reading
Individual reading will be done and the correction in pronunciation will be made individually.
Written Work
Written work is done according to the scheme of DHA schools, which includes Word/meanings, question/answers, sentences and objectives.
Assessment / Evaluation
Students will be asked questions about the story to assess their comprehension of the story
They will be asked meanings of the words after they have finished the written work
They will be asked questions about the moral of the story and the different aspects of life, like making promises, keeping promises, accepting mistakes etc.
Worksheet will be given in the form of multiple choice questions.
Assignment
To read the lesson before it is started in class
Underlining the difficult words and finding their meanings from the dictionary
To make Title Page of any picture from the story and describe the picture in their own words.
Bridge
To discuss the assignments given to the students
To discuss the moral of the story and give the next lesson to read
