The Eiffel tower was designed by Gustave Eiffel.

He was a French engineer that specialized in metallic buildings.

He also was a contributor to the Panama Canal and the armature of the Statue of Liberty.

Fun Facts!

The Eiffel Tower has 2.5 million rivets. The Eiffel Tower weighs 7000 tons. 50 tons of paint has to be applied to it

every 7 years to avoid rust. It was built for the World's Fair to show

that iron could be strong like stone while being a lot lighter.
