FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Input for employees: 1.1 The system will correlate with the current system that is in place with the

UREC 1.2 Employees will only be responsible for swiping the ID for each student   2. Process-oriented: 2.1 The system will show how many people have entered the gym within the

past hour. This is calculated by counting the number of ID swipes used to enter the gym.

2.2 The system will delete users after being in the gym for a period of one hour.

2.3 The system will transfer data from the UREC to the GymStatus database 2.4 The system will show live tracking. 2.5 The system will show historical trends 3. Information-oriented

The system must shows the gym’s peak traffic times The system must show the gym’s low traffic times The system will be able to forecast up to a week in advance a good time to work out.

This forecast will be based on all previously gathered data. 3.4 The system will hold history and show patterns for previous weeks

NONFUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS Operational

The system will be able to be used on handheld devices The system should inventory the amount of people at the

gym The system should be able to be used on browsers

2. Performance 2.1 The system is a real-time system that tracks

the exact amount of people in the gym at a certain time

3. Security Member names and/or LSU Identification numbers will

not be shared on the system. 4. Cultural and Political 4.1 The system must be compatible and

acceptable to LSU UREC standards.
