BrassExplosion! - ii - - 01 - BrassExplosion!ADVERTEmirates Foreword by His Excellency

FOREWORD BY HIS EXCELLENCY PAUL MADDENBRITISH HIGH COMMISSIONER SINGAPOREI am delighted to welcome the Desford Colliery Band from the UK

to Singapore.

The sound of a brass band wafting through the air always reminds

me of summer holidays in England and brings a smile to my face.

It is particularly good to see the involvement of so many young

people in Brass Explosion Festival and Gala Concert. These are

the band members of the future. They are very lucky to have the

opportunity to perform alongside such a famous band as Desford.

I am sure that everyone is going to enjoy the show, both the

audience and the musicians.

H.E. Paul Madden
