Soyuz(rocket)

The Soyuz rocket first flew in 1966, and was derived from the Voskhod rocket, it was a member of the R-7 family of rockets.

Space craft

The Soyuz is the longest serving manned spacecraft

in the world.

Sputnik1

October 4, 1957, was when the Soviet Union successfully launched Sputnik 1. The world's first artificial satellite. It was 58 cm in diameter (22.8 inches), and weighed 83.6 kg to be

specific.

HISTORY

This picture shows the idiosyncratic design of

Sputnik1.

Russia is known for many things related with space the race to the moon is one of their best known things. It was between Russia and America/NASA, the objective was to have the fist manned rocket reach the moon. They both

designed their own rockets but NASA sent spy's to achieve Russia’s designs. The space race ended as NASA sent Apollo 8 to space in 1969.

Ambition Roskosmos is adapting a spacecraft, which could carry the nation's

cosmonauts,6, into space in the coming decades(specifically 2018 is when they are launching the ACV ).

As well as carrying six cosmonauts, the ACV will carry 1,100 pounds (500 kilograms) of cargo .

WHAT ELSE COULD RUSSIA DO WITH THE MONEY THEY USE TO GO TO SPACE?

Advancing mining recourses for; Oil, Natural gas and coal To insure that they don’t experience a financial crisis like in

2008-2009

THE ADVANTAGES SPACE TRAVELThere are several advantages of space travel here is a gargantuan

array of them: Exploration

planets/moons

Materials

Habitable Zones

Organisms

Gasses

Satellites placed in our solar system have allowed humans to enjoy sumptuous electronics (televisions).

we can learn how universe formed and where we came from (the matter combustion known as the big bang)

THE DISADVANTAGES SPACE TRAVEL

The Thing that hinders all space travel is the expense. To launch any space craft or rocket your company is required to invest Millions, sputnik 2 cost 15 million RUB overall. For manned voyages

the astronauts the apparent danger/disadvantage is prolonged exposure to zero-G in space this can

decrease your amount of bone mass, weakening your bones.

RUSSIAN CULTURE(PIVOTAL CELEBRATIONS)

Festivals

old celebrationMaslyanitsa(pancake)

During this week people cook pancakes served with honey, caviar, fresh cream and butter. It means that many different foods, including butter, will be eaten before the time when Lent comes. This is the Russian alternative of pancake day.

New celebrationRevolution Day

Revolution Day takes place on November 7 and 8. It marks the day in 1917 when the masses of people revolted against the

autocratic rule of the Czars.

EXPERIMENTS THAT INFORMPressure

The experiment:The experiment was to, using Newton meters representing the pressure

of Neptune and Earth (the harder it was to pull down the greater the pressure)record the amount of times you could pull your

finger down to the table in 30 seconds.

I found out that on the Newton meter representing Earth I could only pull my finger down 27 times in half an minute. On the other hand

on Neptune I pulled my finger down 43 times.

To conclude I think it was gargantuanly harder to pull my finger down on the Newton meter for Earth because it has a stronger

atmosphere providing Earth with a sufficient amount of pressure to secure/have water.
