As many of you may have noticed there appears to be more activity in the Park, one of the reasons may be we are seeing our Canadian residents returning after 18-month absence. All I can say on behalf the other residents in the Park is, WELCOME BACK NEIGHBORS, WE MISSED YOU! By now owners have received their tax bill. You may have noticed that your Park assessment either went up or down, and you may wonder why the difference. Well, the change in our Charter is why the difference occurred. (Check out trailereestates@trailerestates. com under ABOUT US, look for CHARTER) We now make our as- sessment based on lots and/or parcel and portions thereof. We no longer use mobile homes as the basis of determining assessment. We also now include vacant lots in our assessments. What this does, it prevents shrinkage of our tax base that had been occurring over the last twenty years. Again, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of our TE family. If you’re head back up North over the holiday, please be careful. Seasonal Recreation Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! The Christmas Dance for residents will be December 18th at 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm with Yesterdazes Variety Band performing. Tickets may be obtained at the office. Tickets will be taken at the door and prizes will be given during the dance so retain the ticket stub. The New Year’s Eve Dance for residents and guest will be Decem- ber 31th at 8:00 pm – 12:30 am with Aquaholics Band performing. Tickets will go on sale December 6th at 1:00 am in Large Hall. There will be lots of prizes and fun things happening the entire evening. Tell your friends and neighbors this is the best place to be on New Year’s Eve! December is always a fun month with lots of activities. Hope to see everyone at the Christmas Dance and New Years Eve Dance. ARC Approval The ARC will notify you upon the approval/denial. The approved permit with the orange card must be displayed in your window and is valid for 6 months only. Thank you for your help in this matter. Public Relations Trustees

Basic Marina Information The marina is very limited on longer size slips. If you are going to buy a boat that is over 19 feet long, PLEASE, call the Dock master to see if we have a slip available. The Dock master has had to disappoint several people by telling them we had no place for them to dock their new boat. Boats will only be rented slips that they fit in. For instance, if you have a boat that fits in a 28 foot slip, you will not be able to rent a 30ft slip, if your boat fits in a 22ft slip, you will not able to rent a 26ft slip. The larger slips are for larger boats. Boats are measured from the farthest thing that sticks out on the bow, to the motor in full tilt. We do not measure your boat by what it says on the registration. If you are buying a party boat, deck boat or pontoon boat, please watch the size of the beam (width) of the boat you buy. These newer, wider, boats have a hard time fitting in many of the slips without touching the sides of the decking. Please buy a boat that will give you room, on each side, to adjust with the ebb and flow of the tide. The Dock master is a volunteer who lives here in TE. This volunteer position helps to keep the marina costs down. The Dock master DOES NOT get any benefits from being the Dock master other than the satisfaction of helping the community. The Dock master pays the same marina fees as you pay. Paula works full time, 12 hour shifts. She is usually available 2-4 days a week depending on her schedule. Her voice mail is frequently updated and will tell you the soonest she can meet, if she does not answer. Please do not call the office, they cannot change Paula’s work schedule nor can they rent you a slip. Please be patient. Paula’s number is 941-545-4255.

Charter Communications. Programming may vary. Channels, Tiers and Packaging subject to change. Services not available in all areas. Charter issued digital receiver or CableCARD required to view programming channels, except for Basic Service viewable with customer owned TV equipped with digital QAM Tuner subject to future service changes when a market transitions to All Digital. Charter issued digital receiver required to view PPV and On Demand programming (where available). HD capable equipment required to view HD programming (where available). All programming may not be available to CableCARD or Digital Terminal Adapter customers. All service levels may contain channels with some R-rated programming, which can be blocked using the Parental Control feature on your on-screen program guide.

In a switched digital market, due to system technology enhancements access to certain digital channels will require a digital receiver, as HDTVs & digital QAM tuners equipped with CableCARDs or TV's equipped with Digital Terminal Adapter's cannot access certain digital channels requiring two-way communication (e.g., PPV & On Demand programming). CableCARD customers with TiVo equipment will also need a Tuning Adapter for access to such digital channels.

SAP - Second Audio Programming (Spanish Language when available) is offered on analog Basic Service & Expanded Service channels. Check your interactive program guide for further details. Channel numbers listed are for either analog cable-ready TV sets or Charter digital receivers. Customers using a QAM tuner TV or other personal QAM tuner device, not connected to a digital receiver, must activate the Auto Program feature, as described in the TV/device's Owner's Manual, to receive some digital services.

C.E.R.T. (COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM)A 501 (C) 3 Organization

We are “Neighbors helping Neighbors”Website: www.CERT-TE.org

Phone: C.E.R.T. 752-7421 or 962-4437Email : [email protected]

We meet on the third Wednesday of the month at 10:00 AM in the Mark’s Hall. You are welcome to attend any of our business meetings. If you have questions, we will be happy to answer them for you as they pertain to disaster services. This is your CERT team. Our sponsor is Manatee County Emergency Management. A big CONGRATULATIONS TO Mary Wadman, a long time CERT member, for obtaining her “General” Ham Radio license. She ob-tained her “Technician” license last year. The general license allows for transmission over longer distances. We are proud of you, Mary. We now have a number of Ham operators in our group, allowing us to communicate to other emergency personnel, and out of town residents, when phone lines are down. Our famous breakfasts will start in January (10th). Other dates are February 14, March 14, and April 18. Due to the “cooked before your eyes” nature of our breakfasts, and homemade cinnamon rolls, we must limit tickets to 100 per breakfast. Mark your calendar and buy tickets early to avoid disappointment. We have two upcoming programs for Trailer Estates residents and guests to attend. On January 19th there will be a “Stop the Bleed” presentation. A resident took the class a couple years ago, thinking it wasn’t anything she would ever use. She was wrong. Shortly after taking the class, she suffered a major bleeding wound. She used her knowledge gained in the class to possibly save her own life. On February 16th we will again offer our “Active Shooter” presentation. Sadly, all of us need this information with the increasing violence these days. Both presentations will be in the Mark’s Hall at 10:00 AM. Watch for the announcements. We will be offering a CERT Basic Training class after the first of the year. It is free and you can obtain your needed certification to be able to assist CERT in a disaster. We welcome new members.

Cookies for Sharing Cookies for Sharing is being changed this year. No homemade cookies but we will accept monetary donations towards a plan we have for remembering our seniors. Donations will be accepted at the post office on December1st, 2nd, and 3rd from 1:00-3:00 or call Terry at (941) 755-8633 or Dee at (941) 758-8515. Please contact Dee with any new “over 85’s”. Delivery of a small package will be morning of December 17.

Golf Cart Christmas CarolingDECEMBER 10TH (FRIDAY), 12 NOON, 2021

Come join us, all are welcome!! Sponsored by TE Covenant Church. Please line up your golf cart in the lot behind the Large Hall. * No cart? Perhaps there will be extra seats available. We leave at NOON, weather permitting. If you have bells, bring them with you. We have the song sheets- you provide the joyous voices. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served in the Mark’s Hall im-mediately following. Elaine Lockwood

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONSChristmas Eve Service The TE Covenant Church would like to invite you to come and celebrate the joy of Jesus’ birth. A Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will be held on Friday, December 24th at 7:00 pm in the large hall. So come let us adore him and feel the love, peace and hope of this joyous season. We hope to see you there.

Trailer Estates Covenant ChurchGreetings from the T.E. Covenant Church! We hope this message finds you well. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers! We are a loving Christian community that faithfully serves the T.E. community. All are welcome to participate and enjoy worshiping our Creator.  We would like you to know that we are offering in-person wor-ship services again. If you feel comfortable and are able, we would love for you to join us in the large hall from 9am to 10am Sunday mornings. We are also live streaming the service at 9am on channel 732 and posting the service on YouTube after 6 pm on Sundays if you prefer.  We have resumed some of our community activities and are hoping for a quick return to all of our community gatherings and events. We have missed our dinners and the fellowship that occurs at so many events. Listed below are a couple of community events that are currently taking place.  Women’s “Quiet Time at the Beach” meets every Wednesday morning at 8:00 am in the T.E. beach. All women from the Park and the Church are invited for an hour of prayer and devotions.  “Fisher’s of Men” meet for lunch and fellowship at the Anna Maria Oyster Bar each Wednesday at 11:30. All men from the Park and the Church are invited to join us for a meal and fellowship.  The Manatee County Food Bank barrel is located outside the post office and is accepting all non-perishable food items. Since we moved the barrel to the post office we have sent more than 36 barrels of food from T.E. to the local food bank to help those in need!  We have a prayer chain and are always willing to assist you with your prayer needs. The power of prayer should never be underes-timated! Please let us know if you would like prayer for yourself, friends, or family.  If you have questions, concerns, would like to speak to the pastor, or be added to our prayer list you can call the church office and leave a message at (941) 756-7722 or send an email to [email protected].

Couples Dance Class  This will be the fifth year for couple’s dance class. Phyllis and Dennis will be the instructors again and hopefully, Jan and Dave will be there also to help teach. The classes are open to anyone and cost is $3.00 per person per class. This year’s classes will be on Wednesdays 1-3 pm in the south part of the large hall starting on January 5th, then skipping January 12th and then resuming on the 19th through March 2nd. I would encourage you to come to the first class because the next class reviews the previous class dances and then adds new dances each week. If you would like to learn to dance with your partner, get some exercise, meet new people and have fun, try this class. Any questions call Clayton at 402-316-6331

The Fun Band It’s hard to believe summer is behind us and the road back to Florida and Trailer Estates is once again a traffic nightmare. It’s so great to be back, though!! I’m sure we’re all anticipating a much better season than we experienced last year, one that includes all the fun we’ve enjoyed for many years. Among the fun, we hope you’ll consider joining our Fun Band. Its one and only requirement is a genuine love of singing and an interest in sharing that love with people around Manatee County whose lives are now confined and lonely. Taking our songs and our joy of singing them to others is our goal; and along the way, we all have a lot of fun doing it. We practice in the Mark’s Hall every Friday at 9 a.m. from No-vember through March and perform every Tuesday afternoon in December, February, and March. We also perform for our TE residents at Coffee Break and just before Christmas and again in the Spring. We’d love to have you among us! We work hard, laugh hard, and enjoy one another’s company as we sing some of the best music ever written. Our first practice is Friday, November 5. We very much hope to see you there!

Share-A-Craft Welcome back, Snowbirds!!! And hopefully to our Canadian neighbors as well. It looks like December will be a fun filled month. After an absence of almost 2 years there will be a Hobby Bazaar on Saturday, December 4th. It is scheduled for the Big Hall from 8-12. Share-A-Craft members spent last year making scrubbies, cozies,

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONScards and other interesting items that we will be offering for sale. Also in December is our Christmas Luncheon. It will on Tuesday, December 7th immediately after our monthly business meeting. Make sure you add these fun activities to your calendar. We would love to have you join us. If you are new to the Park or you aren’t familiar with S-A-C here is a little more information about our club. Share-A-Craft is a service organization started in Trailer Estates over 40 years ago. It consists of friendly women who enjoy doing crafts and needlework, who enjoy meeting new friends and re-newing friendships from prior seasons and want to give back to the Park.    On Tuesdays we meet at 9:30 for Workshop to make the scrub-bies, cozies, cards, wreaths and other craft items that we sell at the Bazaars. Whatever money we make is donated back to the Park to help support the Christmas Dinner, Christmas Cookies for our Mature Residents, Over 85 Luncheon, the Rose Garden, Beautification Committee and many other worthy organizations. For more information regarding Workshop contact Kay Woloshyo at 217-971-7302.  On Wednesdays at 1:00 the Quilters meet to create the beautiful quilt that will be raffled off at the March Bazaar. For more informa-tion contact Carolyn Marra at 330-309-7498.   Stitchery meets at 9:30 on Thursday and members work on their own work-crocheting, knitting, quilting, embroidery, rug hooking, making plarn (plastic yarn) mats and bags, felting and any other type of needle work that you enjoy. For more information contact Eileen Bohall at 941-807-6611 or Roxanne True at 502-531-3260. Share-A-Craft is the BEST bargain in the Park $2.00 for your initial year and then just $1.00 for each successive year!!! If you aren’t a member, please give us a try.

Shuffleboard Club A special welcome to all T.E. Shuffleboard players and would-be players who are arriving at Trailer Estates during the month of December. If you are not a shuffler – Welcome Back on behalf of all Club members and we hope you will give the game a try this season. The Florida State Shuffleboard Association rules for this year, is we can play on every court and masks are optional. Fun Games: Fun games are open to all players regardless of skill level and are played, just as the name suggests – FOR FUN. They are played every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday commencing at 1 p.m. A sign is posted at the entrance to the courts on game days which indicates that play will take place. “Singles” games are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays and “doubles” on Saturday. (Doubles does not mean you need to bring a partner in fun days, it means you are playing partners with someone on the other end of the court.) Winners collect 5 cents from those who placed second on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10 cents on Saturdays – the out-of-pocket losses are not excessive but bring some small change. Everything is provided except rubber soled shoes so be sure and wear yours. Plan on spending 2 hours at the courts. Play starts promptly at 1 p.m. so please be on time. Remember – you will never have to wait for a court when you play at T.E.Club Membership Fees are now due and payable - $5 per person it is easy to join the Club, simply go to the clubhouse at the courts and look for a container holding small brown envelopes. It is located inside the building under the bulletin board on the north side. Fill out the outside of the envelope with the information requested. Insert your $5 payment, seal the envelope and insert it into the container by means of the slot provided. In due course, your membership card will be placed on a holder on the outside of this container for you to keep for your records. We depend on member volunteers for much of our court maintenance. Please be ready to assist when asked.
