Vendors please note –

NEW ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR STORE SHEEP on SALE DAY We are now displaying important information relating to vaccinations and withdrawal periods for medicines as animals enter the sale ring. To facilitate this please ensure that the store sheep entry card is handed to the clerk at the time of the sale and AML1 documents are handed in at the office.

As accuracy is important to purchasers, animals which are presented in the sale ring without the pre entry of this information may be temporarily removed. This applies to all animals.

• Entry forms must be FULLY COMPLETED on arrival at the market.

• ALL SHEEP MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A LICENCE ARAMS1.

• Auction Holding No 48/832/0024

• Vendors are advised to Scab Dip or treat sheep with a DEFRA approved product.

• Any unsold sheep must be accompanied by a pass out and Licence before leaving the mart. Ear Tags

• Animals must be tagged before 9 months old (or 6 months if housed indoors) and, in any event, before they leave their birth holding.

• A Full Electronic Tag (1 Electronic & 1 Manual with the same number) must be applied for all sheep born after 31st December 2009 which are intended to be kept for breeding purposes.

Purchasers please note –

• All stock to be removed for the Auction Mart premises on sale day.

• When collecting you bill, please have the ADDRESS & HOLDING NUMBER for the DESTINATION of the sheep purchased.

All customers are reminded that strict bio-security measures must be adhered to as displayed in the market. COVID 19 REGULATIONS

From 8th August 2020 Please note the following change from the above date: FACE COVERINGS – As from 8th August the wearing of face coverings is MANDATORY in enclosed public spaces including Auction Houses. Wearing a face covering is mandatory at ALL our sales for ALL customers. Please bring one with you. VENDORS – Vendors may unload their trailers and stay to represent their stock being sold. Arrive on site and put paper work in the box on the docks then move your vehicle and wash out. Stay at your pen and sort stock or go to café until sale time. You can come to the sale ring side to represent stock during sale. All luck money must be stated on the Vendor Forms and is deducted at the rostrum. You may collect cheques/bacs statements from the office one person at a time. All VENDORS MUST SOCIALLY DISTANCE AT ALL TIMES. WE ASK THAT VENDORS MUST NOT APPROCH BUYERS AT THE RINGSIDE. DROP & GO – This system is still in place for anyone not comfortable with attending the mart. Please ensure stock comes with correctly completed paperwork. BUYERS – Must ring to register to attend all sales. Arrive at mart and book in at the security table on the main concourse. There is always a viewing period for buyers to go round the pens before sale. Buyers can enter the office one person at a time. All BUYERS MUST SOCIALLY DISTANCE AT ALL TIMES. CAFE – The Café is open to all customers. ALL CUSTOMERS – we need to be aware that there is a very real risk that a positive case of Covid 19 identified through Trace and Track to a premises could result in the closure of those premises for 14 days. PLEASE do not attend the mart if you are showing any symptoms. NO VISTORS ARE PERMITTED TO THE MART – ACTIVE CUSTOMERS ONLY AT THE MOMENT. Streaming Cameras - All sales are Streamed Live and can be watched from home.
