To earn the minor in Computer Science & Engineering, the student should acquire an additional 20 credits defined for a minor in.

After the successful completion of 168 + 20 credits, students will have transcripts and grade sheets endorsing their BTech in chosen engineering specialization along with a minor in Computer Science & Engineering.

MIT-WPU Faculty of Engineering is offering the option to opt for a minor in Computer Science & Engineering along with pursuing their major in their chosen BTech specialization. This will bridge the gap between industry and academia Eligible students will gain a competitive edge by acquiring additional expertise.

The students can take up the minor after the successful completion of their first year.

The School of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) of MIT World Peace University was one of the pioneering department of the MIT, Pune and has earned numerous laurels in last four decades. With excellent technical infrastructure, faculty, and academic ambiance in the School, the students of ECE excel in their studies as well as in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. One of our important objectives is to nurture the students to make them Industry ready by exposing them to the state-of-the-art technologies backed by a strong foundation in Science and Engineering. The School of Electronics and Communication Engineering offers very focused and specialized masters programs (M. Tech.). One of the important objectives of this program is to create Industry ready professionals to work and research in the emerging areas of electronics, information and communication technologies. This Two Year Full-time Masters programs comprises of core courses, electives, seminars, peace related courses and a dissertation along with the internship. The students are offered wide variety of electives so that they become industry ready and get specialized in the areas of their choice. The students can either take up full-time research project or Industry project or combination of these for two trimesters.

India is one of the fastest growing markets for tunnel construction due to various infrastructure projects underway throughout the country. A total of 2200 km of tunnel length has been constructed so far, and about 4,000 km is either under construction or planned for the future. However there has been dearth of qualified tunnel engineers in India. To cater this need we have started this Masters’ Program in Tunnel Engineering, M. Tech. (Tunnel Engineering) .This is the only post graduate program in Tunnel Engineering in India, and good blend of teachers from academics and Tunneling industry.

The University infrastructure is very good and is well equipped with all the learning facilities, laboratories. The teaching faculties are very supportive, experienced and highly educated. They keep updating us about the recent advances. In fact from 2020 they have introduced a unit in which they update us about the recent trends and techniques.

I am studying MTech at School of Mechanical Engineering. The teaching quality is best, teachers are very supportive. The curriculum is much updated, and it includes all the recent trends included. Even our library is quite rich with learning resources in terms of books, book chapters, Journal articles etc. Yes, the experiences we gained, through seminars and many more technical programs and several other academic competitions, surely helped hone our skills and make us job-ready.

I choose MIT WPU because it is a well-renowned university with one of the best industrial tie-ups and with the best academic excellence. Even in the pandemic situation, the online classes were conducted with good connectivity between students and faculties. Regular feedbacks were conducted to understand the problems that occurred during the online teaching session. Timely expert lectures and industrial webinars were carried out for industrial exposure. Overall even in pandemic, it was a great experience of gaining knowledge and practical approach using the online platform.

Technical knowledge of mine is very much improved and boosted by learning with various practical approaches of the teachers. Different laboratories of engineering are always open for us to learn and grow, from which I gained lot of knowledge. The support of teachers toward our development is worth mentioning. Passed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field of Engineering and Technology awarded by the University recognized by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes who have passed the basic qualifying degree (bachelor's degree in engineering), are eligible to apply irrespective of the marks/CPI and will be considered for admission.)

Admission Selection Process

I) Candidate should have obtained non-zero positive score in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by Indian Institute of Technology, will be considered for the admission. ii) For admission under sponsored category, candidate should have minimum two years of full timework experience in a registered firm / company/ industry/ educational and/or research institute / any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is sought. iii) For any vacant seats after above process, candidates who do not have either GATE score or work experience will be considered for admission through a process of written test followed by interview in respective school.

Admission process

Merit scholarships are proposed to reward and motivate the meritorious students with financial assistance based on their academic performance

in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for Year 2019, 2020, 2021.

Ÿ It is applicable only to first year M. Tech. Students and will be effective only after receiving complete fees for the First Year.Ÿ MIT-WPU reserves the right to modify scholarship

policy without any notice. Ÿ MIT-WPU stipend is over and above stipend as per AICTE norms.

Ÿ MIT-WPU reserves the right to modify the fee structure.

Ÿ Student should meet any one of the entrance exam score criteria to be eligible for scholarship.

Ÿ During working hours, all first year M. Tech. Students

will be considered for ‘on campus academic job’ as per MIT- WPU Policy.
