The last sanitary situation reveals that COVID19 is spreading again quickly inside Guadeloupe, Saint-

Martin and Saint-Barthelemy populations. OMICRON represents now 80% of contaminations.

Today, the government decided to place Guadeloupe, SAINT-MARTIN and Saint-Barthelemy under

sanitary emergency, which allows local authorities to apply all measures deemed necessary to avoid the

spreading.

☒ CONFINEMENT : Face à une dégradation des indicateurs épidémiologiques et un système sanitaire -hospitalier et à

domicile- sous tension, le préfet de la Martinique en concertation avec les élus et les acteurs socio-économiques, rétablit

le couvre-feu à 20h00 à compter du mercredi 08 décembre 2021 au soir. Tout déplacement devra être justifié d’un motif

impérieux d’ordre familial, de santé ou professionnel. La dérogation pour les ERP jusqu’à 22h00 n’est pas reconduite. En

cas de contrôle, l’attestation de déplacement dérogatoire devra être présentée accompagnée d’un justificatif.

Faced with a deterioration of epidemiological indicators and a health system -hospital and home- under tension, the

Prefect of Martinique in consultation with elected officials and socio-economic actors, re-establishes the curfew at 20:00

from Wednesday evening, December 08, 2021. Any displacement will have to be justified by a compelling reason of a

family, health or professional nature. The derogation for the ERP until 22:00 is not renewed. In case of control, the

certificate of derogation will have to be presented with a justification.

No particular problem to report as far as port activities are concerned. However, on 16/04/21, the crew on board M/V

“KIARA” – A CMA-CGM vessel - underwent a routine COVID check. 4 crew members were found affected. The vessel was

hence isolated at anchor for 7 days, after which she was allowed to berth and proceed with the cargo ops.


The population on the whole island is creating havoc by blocking the roads and creating very long traffic jams. Travelling to and from the Port of longoni is getting rather painful.


There is a control of compelling reasons for travelling from Mayotte to the rest of the national territory. Travelers must submit

a justification of compelling reason to the prefecture up to 6 days before the date of the flight. This measure has taken into

effect since 3rd March 2021.

☐ CONFINEMENT : Starting from date 3 March 2022, there is no more curfew in Albania, which was from 23:00 up to

06:00. Now there are no more limitations and people can move normally during 24 hours of the day. It is still required the

recommendation to keep face mask in all enclosed environments and where the physical distance it is not possible to be

respected. Also it is still operative the measure about mass gatherings in cultural and sport activities and also conferences

up to mass 30% of the capacity of the structure where the activity is being held.

3. Inland transports’ situation

The transportation system to convey goods in and out of the Port is operated by individual and companies who are

members of indigenous transport owners association (ITOA). All vehicles must be fit to ply the route before entering the

port. In most cases open trucks are used to convey goods in and out of the Port. All owners should register their trucks

with ITOA and are also required to buy a monthly pass from SLPA the Landlord in order to access the Port. This is

unanimously agreed.


The Airport is operated by Sierra Leone Port Authority (SLAA) Government own. All COVID 19 protocols are observed; all

passengers in and out of the country must present their COVID 19 vaccination card. The Airport has just been renovated,

and it is presently in good condition. The vehicles or trucks that convey goods in and out of the Airport must be fit to ply

the rout in order to be allowed to enter the Airport. Owners must register their van/ truck with the Airport Authority. Face

◘ Bangladesh’s daily Covid deaths, new infections: on 17-08-21: The number of deaths of patients confirmed to have Covid-

19 also rose for the second straight day with the health directorate reporting 198 deaths in the 24 hours until 8:00am on 17-

08-21. Reported positivity rate was 19.18 percent, down from 21 percent reported the day before. Of those reported dead

yesterday, 116 were male and 82 were female.

◘ Covid-19: With the latest development, the total number of deaths reached 24,719, while the number of total infections

Inchcape Port Updates on COVID-19

Kuwaiti authorities will permit vaccinated non-citizen adults to enter the country for non-essential travel beginning August 1. The measure applies to those who have received two doses of the AstraZeneca, Moderna, or Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines or one dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. In addition, travelers must present a negative PCR test result taken less than 72 hours before arrival and quarantine for seven days upon arrival. During the quarantine period, travelers must undergo another PCR test and test negative to move freely.

Amid a decline in COVID-19 infections, Kuwait cautiously entered the fifth phase of a gradual return to

normal life, with various sectors returning to full capacity. The airport resumed operations at full

capacity. Worshippers in mosques are now praying without distancing, while the requirement to wear

masks in open areas has been lifted. However, wearing of masks and maintain social distancing is still

in force in closed places such as shopping malls, restaurants and cafes.

The Cabinet had also asked the interior ministry and the manpower authority to start issuing all types

of visas to people vaccinated with approved vaccines (Pfizer-BioNTech, Oxford-AstraZeneca,

Moderna and Johnson & Johnson)

Australia’s borders are currently closed and entry to Australia remains strictly controlled. All commercial vessels must now

use the Maritime Arrivals Reporting System (MARS) for all vessel pre-arrival reporting.

All vessels entering Australia that have a suspected case of COVID-19 on board will not be allowed to unload goods or

disembark travellers until cleared to do so by the human biosecurity officer. Where vessels have a suspected case of COVID-

directions.
