Developing residency/fellowship programs will have two years for their residents to be eligible for the Individual Residency/Fellowship Curriculum Option during which time they must demonstrate proof of application for APTA credentialing. A third year will be available during the credentialing process as needed. After the 3-year grace period, the cost will revert back to the standard member costs for each ISC course selected only if the residents or fellows are AOPT members and will remain at that rate until the program is fully credentialed. Each resident must be individually enrolled in each of the ISC courses selected in the individual option.

The cost of each ISC selected in the individual option will be at the full Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy member rate less a 50% discount. This offer is not available to non-Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy members. Individual courses will be provided via a Dropbox link, and therefore, no additional shipping cost will be charged. 46

A multiple-choice final examination for each ISC will be provided to residency directors. Residents will receive notification of their scores via e-mail once the final exam is submitted to the AOPT office and scored. No contact hours are earned for successful completion. The criterion for “passing” is at the discretion of the residency/fellowship director. If residents do not meet the criteria for passing set by their director, they may retake the exam up to 2 additional times. The director must contact the AOPT office to make this request. There is no fee for retaking exams. The residency director determines the length of time for the retake. Retake exams must be submitted to the AOPT office for scoring. 10
