As you know, on 5th October 2013, we had the handover function marking a milestone in our journey at Godrej Garden City with the first set of handovers. Mr. Pirojsha Godrej, MD, Godrej Properties Ltd., graced this ceremony at Godrej Garden City, Ahmedabad where he met many proud owners of Orchard cluster.

It was a pleasure to watch the proud home owners of Godrej Garden City light up sky lanterns to start their journey in the township along with Hon’ble Minister Anandiben Patel.

This newsletter is an attempt to give you a glimpses of various facilities in our township and life at Godrej Garden City.

Actual Picture of Phase 1 - Orchard Cluster

Life at Orchard A soothing, peaceful and cozy nook, where life is hassle-free and flawless. Living close to nature, the residents here enjoy their mornings and evenings in picturesque greenery all around.

At Orchard cluster, 2 outlets of vegetables, fruits, groceries, dairy and dairy products are fully-operational. Apart from Godrej Garden City residents, the employees of Godrej Garden City too have started shopping for their requirements from these retail outlets.

Road Connectivity

Orchard cluster of Godrej Garden City is now connected to Gota and Vandematram through the 40M wide central boulevard of the township. While this road is operational and yet being fully developed, school buses, private cars, passenger vehicles, autos and buses have begun plying too.

GIIS School Ready for Academic YearHeadquartered at Singapore, GIIS is spread across 7 countries in the world and in India. Today they have 7 campuses in Bangalore, 2 campuses in Hyderabad, Noida, Indore, Surat and Pune. Ahmedabad is their 8th campus. They are also coming up with more campuses in Bangalore, Chandigarh and Gurgaon, over the next few years. The Ahmedabad school will be affiliated to CBSE board. The classes upto class VI will begin from, 9th April 2014. The school will also be coming up with a Global Cricket Academy, Mind Champion Academy (Chess) which will be run by NIIT and Vishwanathan Anand, Mahatma Gandhi Center for Universal Values, Specialised Montessori Lab and much more. Citizen’s CornerI am staying at Orchard from last 3 months. I feel like staying in heaven. Intercom FacilityThis will be operational from April 2014. Further information will be released in the next edition.

Shopping ComplexTo cater to the daily needs of the residents, a shopping complex is under construction. This is likely to be operational from July of this year. Vegetable retail outlets, chemists, boutiques, dairy outlets, dentists, stationery, north Indian and south Indian eateries, electrical repair shops, RO service, and salon have already been sold to parties, after our due deligence process and they will open their outlets in the shopping complex as soon as we handover the shops to them for fitouts. “Sales India”, Ahmedabad’s premiere consumer durables and electronics shop with 13 flagship stores across Gujarat is setting up their second biggest showroom in the retail square of Godrej Garden City. The other categories of shops are under our filtration process and will be lined up much before the launch of retail complex by July 2014.
