DIN 2ST (global) performance standard.

• While other quick-connect fittings are available for low pressure

service (less than 300psi), the robust design of STC ® provides

operating pressure capability up to 6,000 psi when STC adapters

are used.

Proper Installation of STC ®

• Installation of the male STC ® connector must be

made straight into the adapter and not at an angle

• Do not use the rubber sleeve as leverage to push

the male half onto the female half

• After the STC ® connection is made, pull on the

connection to make sure the male and female are

properly connected

Market Situation & Requirements

The current development shows that the new generation of various vehicles for

different applications will have a working pressure over 420bar [6,000psi], meaning

ending up at 500bar [7,250psi].

The reasons are:

• the machines become bigger and bigger

• the space to route becomes smaller / stays the same compared to the big

machine

• the flow rates become higher

Some of the component manufacturers e.g. Bosch Rexroth and Linde have picked up

this new requirement and have developed the appropriate pumps feasible for 500bar

[7,250psi].

Also Eaton will be prepared for this new hose generation.
