Abstract— Error correction codes (ECCs) are regularly used to secure memories from errors. As multi bit

errors become additional frequent, single error correction codes aren‘t enough and additional advanced ECCs

are required. Accuracy is changing into a challenge for advanced electronic circuits as the number of errors due

to manufacturing variations, radiation and reduced noise margins increase as technology scales. In the existed

method the error detection and correction are achieved by using Bloom filters (BFs). These filters give a quick

and economical way to check whether or not a given element belongs to a set. Bloom filters will effectively

correct single error within the associated set. In the proposed method the error detection and correction are

enforced by using Orthogonal Latin square codes. The major advantage of OLS codes is that they arrange a

good vary of selections for the block size and also the error correction capabilities. These codes will correct

multiple errors. This proposed coding system has been enforced to optimize the power for OLS codes.

Keywords— Bloom filters (BFs), error detection and correction, and Orthogonal Latin square codes.

ABSTRACT

The main task behind the making of this application is for Digitalization of character/signature system. This

would be radically reducing the paper work on alphabetical characters and numerical. Characters will need to be

transferred to locations where similarity matching needs to be done. This process to be done in paper work while

transferring would mean a lot of time space. To avoid such a constraint and increase the efficiency of the

recognition process this product is being progressed. Moreover the existing system of physically scanning the

character or words in further instance is no where secure as human eye cannot predict accurately the

similarity/differences in two images. Therefore such a situation needs to be avoided with the development of a

more flexible algorithm using state of art technology and implemented directly. Faster recognition should also

be reflected in the above process and overcome the time for recognition else scanning would be better option.

This Software is used to identify and match the handwritten character of a user from previous knowledge of how

his/her handwriting has been recorded. The handwriting firstly recorded will have characteristics of the same

like curve, lineage etc identified using neural networks concepts of Multilayer Feed forward Network, the next

on entering the writing can be identified and used for any specific purpose.

ABSTRACT

In present day communication wireless communication has become the most popular communication. Because

of this growing demand on wireless applications has put a lot of constraints on the available radio spectrum

which is limited and precious. In fixed spectrum assignments there are many frequencies that are not being

properly used. So cognitive radio helps us to use these unused frequency bands which are also called as ―White

Spaces‖. This is a unique approach to improve utilization of radio electromagnetic spectrum. In establishing the

cognitive radio there are 4 important methods. In this paper we are going to discuss about the first and most

important method to implement cognitive radio i.e., ―spectrum sensing‖. The challenges, issues and techniques

that are involved in spectrum sensing will discussed in detail.

ABSTRACT

Mobile Wireless sensor networks (mobile-WSN) are becoming increasingly important in recent years due to

their ability to detect and convey real-time in-situ scenes for many civil and military applications. A major

technical challenge for a mobile wireless sensor network lies in the energy constraint at each node, which poses

a fundamental limit on the network lifetime. To overcome this energy constraint, in this work, an energy aware

optimal routing strategy is implemented by modifying the AODV protocol, which is termed as Modified

AODV (MAODV) and also tuning of energy is carried out at each transmitting node to ensure minimum

consumption of energy. The other important constraint is the data security. This data security is augmented by

applying an Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) for WSN. This AES algorithm is implemented in modified

AODV and this is termed as Secured AODV (SAODV). Since, the nodes are mobile in nature, to implement the

MAODV and SAODV the environment is created using Global Mobile Information System Simulator

(GLOMOSIM), and the simulation is carried out for various pause time values and the number of nodes.

From simulation, it is observed that in MAODV, the energy consumption per packet and the Average energy

consumption of the nodes are approximately 20% less compared to conventional AODV and the Secured

AODV gives better packet delivery ratio when compared to MAODV.

Key words: WSN, Energy, Routing, Ad-Hoc Networks, AODV, AES.

ABSTRACT:

In this research work, Modified Improved Arctan Thresholding and two Hybrid Thresholding schemes (TH-I

and TH-II) have been proposed and successfully used in Wavelet Thresholding the Multitaper Spectrum for

Speech Enhancement. The two Hybrid Thresholding schemes are formulated by incorporating the modified

arctan function and exponential function suitably in Hard and Soft thresholding methods. To address the

―musical noise‖ encountered in most of the frequency domain speech enhancement algorithms, Wavelet

Thresholding the Multitaper Spectrum Speech Enhancement with Hard and Soft Thresholding schemes. This

paper investigates further improvement of Speech quality in terms of six objective quality measures using

Discrete Wavelet Transform Thresholding the Multitaper Power Spectrum proposed Thresholding method. The

performance of the new Thresholding methods is compared with the other thresholding methods. When applied

to noisy speech signals of low SNR (0dB) conditions. The results showed that, the use of Multitaper Spectrum

estimation combined with the proposed Thresholding procedures yields better quality.. This Algorithm

incorporates the noisy speech signal divided in to overlapping frames and each frame is subject to the Multitaper

Power Spectrum estimation using either SLEPIAN(Discrete Prolate Spheroidal Sequences) or SINE Tapers and

applied to the Wavelet Thresholding the Multitaper Spectrum based Speech Enhancement algorithm and the

enhanced speech is reconstructed in its time domain. Analysis is done using Daubechies and Symlet wavelets

with different real world noisy environments as well as white Gaussian Noise.

The Bayesian approach offers three avoid signature advantages in the represent problem of estimating the

ABSTRACT

Arithmetic coding is a method for lossless data compression. Normally, a string of characters such as the

words ―hello there‖ is represented using a fixed number of bits per character, as in the American Standard

Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) code. Arithmetic coding is a form of variable-length entropy

encoding that converts a string in to another representation. As that where the entropy encoding techniques

which separate the input message into its component symbols and replace each symbol with a code word,

arithmetic coding encodes the entire message into a single number that is a fraction n where (0.0 < n < 1.0).

Although arithmetic coding offers extremely high coding efficiency, it provides little or no security as

traditionally implemented. We present a modified scheme that offers both encryption and compression. The

system utilizes an arithmetic coder in which the overall length within the range [0,1] allocated to each

symbol is preserved, but the traditional assumption that single contiguous interval is used for each symbol is

removed. Additionally, a series of permutations are applied at the input and the output of the encoder. The

overall system provides simultaneous encryption and compression.

In this project, encoder and decoder for secure arithmetic coding are designed in VHDL. Modelsim simulator

tool will be used for functional verification of the design. A test bench is written in VHDL which instantiates

both encoder and decoder to check end to end testing. Typical applications of secure arithmetic coding are

studied.

ABSTRACT

The passive devices using a ferriteis a major research area for electronic applications in the microwave range

(Isolators). Barium ferrite (BaFe12O19 or BaM), which has a large resistivity and high permeability at high

frequencies are really of excessive interest for microwave device applications. In this work, results of an

experimental paperof self-biased coplanar isolator using HFSSis simulated. The insertion loss (S21)and the

ABSTRACT

In the study of Robust reversible watermarking (RRW) methods we discovered that it embeds the watermark

into the fractional portion of the numerical attributes in the relational database to minimize the distortion of the

watermarked relational database. And these are popular in multimedia for protecting copyright, while preserving

intactness of host images and providing robustness against unintentional attacks. But this conventional RRW

methods are not readily applicable in practice, they have limited robustness in extracting watermarks from the

watermarked images destroyed by different unintentional attacks.

To overcome the problems of this system here we develop a novel pragmatic framework, wavelet-domain

statistical quantity histogram shifting and clustering (WSQH-SC). In this proposed system of WSQH-SC

ingeniously constructs new watermark embedding and extraction procedures by histogram shifting and

clustering and those are compared with conventional methods. WSQH-SC includes the property- inspired pixel

adjustment to effectively handle overflow and underflow of pixels. This results in satisfactory reversibility and

invisibility. WSQH-SC designs an enhanced pixel-wise masking to balance robustness and invisibility to

increase its practical applicability furthermore. The experimental results shows the comprehensive performance

in terms of reversibility, robustness, invisibility widely applicable to different kinds of images.

Index Terms—Integer wavelet transform, k-means clustering, Enhanced pixel wise masking, robust reversible

watermarking (RRW).

ABSTRACT:

In the last decade, vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) have been widely studied as a method for

incorporating wireless communication capabilities in vehicular transportation systems for safety, energy, and

comfort issues. VANETs consist of two types of nodes, i.e., mobile vehicles and stationary roadside wireless

access points (APs); the wireless Aps serve as an infrastructure for network connectivity in VANETs. In

VANETs, vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V), infrastructure-to vehicle (I2V), and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I)

communications are defined, depending on the direction of traffic flow. I2V and V2I aim for data delivery

services from/to the Internet through the roadside wireless APs in VANETs.

ABSTRACT

This paper presents the design and the implementation of a Wireless Sensor Network that can monitor the air

temperature, humidity and ambient light intensity in a crop field. The technological development in Wireless

Sensor Networks made it possible to use in monitoring and control of greenhouse parameter in precision

agriculture. This can help the end users such as farmers in the better understanding of agriculture practices to be

adopted for crop management. Since, early detection of plant fires is necessary to prevent high crop damages; a

plant fire detection scheme has also been incorporated in the system. The system consists of nodes, which are

equipped with small size application specific sensors and radio frequency modules. The design also includes an

alternative scheme for the storage of sensor data into an EEPROM in case the computer terminal switches OFF

like in the case of a power failure. In this contest with the evolution in wireless sensor technologies and

miniaturized sensor devices, it is possible to uses them for automatic environment monitoring and controlling

the parameters of greenhouse. The Graphical User Interface has been made very user-friendly keeping in mind

that the system will be used predominantly by the farmers. The system design implemented addresses a wide

range of agricultural concerns from detecting sensor node failure, retasking the sensor nodes, power

management and data reliability considerations. The proposed system has been deployed in a brinjal field and

the feasibility of the network is tested by evaluating the field results.

ABSTRACT

In image compression to reduce the redundant data and to reduce the size of the processed image as compared to

the original image. As compared to the other conventional lossy compression techniques used, the proposed

technique is lossless image compression for both continuous and discrete time cases. The Integer wavelet

transformation for speeding up the computation time and reducing the size of the image. We perform the

wavelet packet transform (WPT) and then the lifting scheme (LS) are can be constructed by iterating the single

wavelet decomposition step on both low pas as well as high pass branches by the bi-orthogonal wavelets. The

performance in terms of encoding and decoding time, the peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR), and better

compression ratio (CR). The implementation of the lifting scheme the speed up mechanism is possible, thus

facilitating a superior image compression lossless model. The project work attempts to highlight the

performance analysis of such IWT image compression technique using proposed lifting scheme.

ABSTRACT: Biometrics systems have significantly improved person identification and authentication, playing

an important role in personal, national, and global security. However, these systems might be deceived (or

spoofed) and, despite the recent advances in fraudulence spotting, current solutions often rely on domain

knowledge, specific biometric reading systems, and attack types. We assume a very limited knowledge about

biometric fraudulence at the sensor to derive outstanding fraudulence spotting systems for iris, face, and

fingerprint modalities based on two deep learning approaches. The first approach consists of learning suitable

convolution network architectures for each domain, whereas the second approach focuses on learning the

weights of the network via back propagation. We consider nine biometric fraudulence benchmarks—each one

containing real and fake samples of a given biometric modality and attack type— and learn deep representations

for each benchmark by combining and contrasting the two learning approaches. This strategy not only provides

better comprehension of how these approaches interplay, but also creates systems that exceed the best known

results in eight out of the nine benchmarks. The results strongly indicate that fraudulence spotting systems based

on convolution networks can be robust to attacks already known and possibly adapted, with little effort, to

image-based attacks that are yet to come.

ABSTRACT—maximizing the lifetime of a sensor network by scheduling operations of sensors is an effective

way to construct energy efficient wireless sensor networks. This paper proposes a hybrid approach of

combining a genetic algorithm with schedule transition operations, termed STHGA, to address the problem of

disjoint set of sensors. STHGA adopts a forward encoding scheme for chromosomes in the population and uses

some effective genetic and sensor schedule transition operations. The novelty of the forward encoding scheme is

that the maximum gene value of each chromosome is increased consistently with the solution quality, which

relates to the number of disjoint complete cover sets. Complying with the encoding requirements, genetic

operations and schedule transition operations in STHGA cooperate to change the incomplete cover set into a

complete one.

ABSTRACT

Every year the nation requires about 4 Crore units of blood, out of which only a meager 40 Lakh units of blood

are available. There are multiple blood banks around the world, however none of them offer the capability for a

direct contact between the donor and recipient. This is often a serious disadvantage notably in cases wherever

there is associate degree pressing would like of blood. This project aims to beat this communication barrier by

providing an immediate link between the donor.

ABSTRACT

Vehicle‘s license plate recognition system has been a special area of interest in video surveillance area for more

than a decade or so. With the advent of sophisticated video vehicle detection systems for traffic management

applications, number plate recognition system finds wide varieties of places to fit itself beyond just controlling

access to a toll collection point or parking lot. It can now be integrated to the video vehicle detection systems

which usually areInstalled in places of interest for intersection control, traffic monitoring etc., to identify vehicle

that violates traffic laws or to find stolen vehicles. Here we are implementing this project in the stream of image

processing to identify number plate and data is being processed in MATLAB. The same information is sent to

ABSTRACT: - We present two high-speed and low-power full-adder cells designed with an alternative internal

logic structure and pass-transistor logic styles that lead to have a reduced power-delay product (PDP). We

carried out a comparison against other full-adders reported as having a low PDP, in terms of speed, power

consumption and area. All the full-adders were designed with a 0.18- m CMOS technology, and were tested

using a comprehensive test bench that allowed to measure the current taken from the full-adder inputs, besides

the current provided from the power-supply. Post-layout simulations show that the proposed full-adders

outperform its counterparts exhibiting an average PDP advantage of 80%, with only 40% of relative area.

Abstract

Multi-hop wireless mesh networks provide a community with a communication infrastructure which gives the

ability to have a single or few connections to the internet along with each other. The core philosophy is that each

node in the network would route each other packets for the benefit of everyone in the mesh network. This can

give rise to a malicious node taking advantage of the forwarding nature in the network. A malicious node can

drop the packets that should be forwarded and only forward its own packets therefore decreasing the benefits of

the network for nodes upstream from the "bad" node. We present a Random Tester Detection Protocol (RTDP)

that will detect the malicious node. The protocol leverages the broadcast nature of wireless networks along with

anonymous messages to detect the free riding nodes. The protocol is evaluated in a network simulator created

using Java.

ABSTRACT:-

The hazy removal technique divided into three categories such additional information approaches, multiple

image approaches, single-image approaches. The first two methods are expense one and high computational

complexity. Recently single image approach is used for this de-hazing process because of its flexibility and low

cost. The dark channel prior is to estimate scene depth in a single image and it is estimated through get at least

one color channel with very low intensity value regard to the patches of an image. The transmission map will be

estimated through atmospheric light estimation. The median filter and adaptive gamma correction are used for

enhancing transmission to avoid halo effect problem. Then visibility restoration module utilizes average color

difference values and enhanced transmission to restore an image with better quality.

ABSTRACT:

Developments in the field of Information Technology also make Information Security a devoted part of it. In

order to deal with security, Authentication plays an imperative role. In this paper, Biometrics is used for

authentication. This paper also describes how biometrics can leverage cloud‘s boundless computational

resources and striking properties of flexibility, scalability, and cost reduction in order to reduce the cost of the

biometrics system requirements of different computational resources (i.e. processing power or data storage) and

to enhance the performance of biometrics systems‘ processes (i.e. biometric matching). Here, Raspberry Pi is

used to build a low-cost biometric system. Raspberry Pi (RPi) is a credit-sized mini-computer with great

capabilities similar to a PC. In this study it is used as a remote enrollment node. The application of Raspberry Pi

and cloud computing has given a new direction of research into the field of Internet-of-Things (IoT). Using the

biometric technology, a new system of IoT based biometrics is proposed. To maintain the security of biometric

traits over the Internet channel from RPi client to the cloud, cryptographic algorithms are applied like RSA and

enhanced AES-256. The encrypted biometric information is stored on the cloud and the authentication can be

done by Biometric service hosted on Azure cloud. Thus, this papers covers the following topics: attracting

power of biometrics into the authentication services, biometrics leveraging the power of cloud, Raspberry Pi- a

low-cost IoT device, enhanced AES-256 with Round structure and dynamic S-box generation and the new

emerging trend of Internet-of-Things.

Abstract — In With Advancement in wireless technologies and mobile devices, Adhoc networks have become

popular in communication technology in many environments. So security is major concern, for that we

introduce the concept of trust as a relation among entities that participate in various protocols. Trust

relations are based on evidence created by the previous interactions of entities within a protocol. In this work,

we are focusing on the evaluation of trust evidence in ad hoc networks. Because of the dynamic nature of ad

hoc networks, trust evidence may be uncertain and incomplete. Also, no preestablished infra-structure can be

assumed. The evaluation process is modeled as a path problem on a directed graph, where nodes represent enti-

ties, and edges represent trust relations. We give intuitive require-ments and discuss design issues for any trust

evaluation algorithm. Using the theory of semirings, we show how two nodes can establish an indirect trust

relation without previous direct interaction.

Adhoc network of wireless nodes is a temporarily formed network, created operated and managed by

the nodes themselves. It is also often termed as infrastructure-less, self- organized or spontaneous network.

We show that our semiring framework is flexible enough to express other trust models, most notably PGP‘s

Web of Trust. Our scheme is shown to be robust in the presence of attackers.

ABSTRACT—Due to the under-utilization problem of the allocated radio spectrum, Cognitive Radio (CR)

communications have recently emerged as a reliable and effective solution. Among various network models,

this survey paper focuses on the enabling techniques for interweave cognitive radio networks which have

received great attention from standards perspective due to its reliability to achieve the required Quality-of-

Service (QoS). Spectrum sensing provides the essential information to enable this interweave communications

in which primary and secondary users are not allowed to access the medium con-currently. Several researchers

have already considered various aspects to realize efficient techniques for spectrum sensing. In this direction,

this survey paper provides a detailed review of the state-of-the-art related to the application of spectrum sensing

in CR communications. Starting with the basic principles and the main features of interweave communications,

the paper provides a classification of the main approaches based on the radio parameters. Subsequently, we

review the existing spectrum sensing works applied to different categories such as narrowband sensing,

narrowband spectrum monitoring, wideband sensing, cooperative sensing, practical implementation

considerations for various techniques, and the recent standards that rely on the interweave network model.

Furthermore, we present the latest advances related to the implementation of the legacy spectrum sensing

approaches. Finally, we conclude this survey paper with some suggested open research challenges and future

directions for the cognitive radio networks in next generation Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications.

ABSTRACT

Wireless sensor networks (WSN) are becoming increasingly important in recent years due to their ability to

detect and convey real-time in-situ scenes for many civil and military applications. A major technical challenge

for a wireless sensor network lies in the energy constraint at each node, which poses a fundamental limit on the

network lifetime. The Ad-Hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol is one of several

published routing protocols for mobile ad-hoc networking. This routing protocol is currently an area of much

research among the networking community. In this project the AODV protocol is chosen to implement energy

aware optimal routing for mobile wireless sensor network in Global Mobile Information System Simulator

(GLOMOSIM).To determine the optimal routing, the AODV protocol is suitably modified to choose the

shortest path between the source and destination, which consumes less energy. Also tuning the transmitter

energy based on distance between the two nodes is carried out to conserve the energy between the nodes. The

performance of such a modified AODV is compared with the conventional AODV in terms of energy

consumption per packet, average energy consumption of node and the throughput by using GloMoSim-2.03. It

is observed that, in modified AODV the energy consumption per packet and the average energy consumption of

the nodes are approximately 20% less compared to the conventional AODV.

frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) based multi-user cognitive radio systems with quality-of-service

(QoS) in terms of signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) and proportional rate constraints. The QoS

requirement of each cognitive radio user imposed by its minimum SINR and interference introduced by

ABSTRACT

Consider a wireless network with densely deployed user devices (e.g., a device-to-device or wireless sensor

network) underlaying a cellular system, in which some user devices act as relays to facilitate data

transmissions between a dis- tant transceiver pair under imperfect channel information. Motivated by the

observation that most of the channel distri- butions are unimodal, we formulate a novel distributionally robust

beamforming problem, in which the random chan- nel coefficient follows a class of unimodal distribution with

known first- and second-order moments. Our design ob- jective is to maximize the worst-case signal-to-

noise ratio (SNR) at the dedicated user device while satisfying a prob- abilistic interference constraint at the

cellular user equip- ment (CUE). Though such a unimodal distributionally ro- bust (UDR) beamforming

problem is non-convex, we show that an approximate solution can be computed efficiently us- ing semidefinite

programming. Our simulation results show that under mild conditions, the UDR model yields signif- icant

beamforming performance improvement over conven- tional robust models that merely rely on first- and

second- order moments of the channel distribution.

Abstract--The HD Image Processing (HDIP) is one of the most popular, rising research area of digital image

processing. Most of the available image search tools, such as Google Image search, are based on textual

annotation of images. At present images are retrieved using text-based search methods but the goal of HDIP is

to extract visual content of image automatically, like color, shape. The existing method helps to design and

implement a task, which handles the information gap between a sketch and colored image, making an

opportunity for efficient search. The transformed full color image and the sketch can be compared. This

technology can be used in several applications such as digital libraries, crime prevention, photo sharing site.

Such a system has great value in apprehending suspects and indentifying victims in forensic sketech to a gallery

Abstract

Traditional software testing analyzed to see if a software product meets its specifications. This generally

involves testing to check if the software performs all the functions called for in the Software Requirements

Specifications (SRS). In contrast, this work-in-progress paper proposes a testing paradigm that does not have

this objective. The proposed testing paradigm tests to see if a software product exhibits proper behavior when

subject to improper usage or improper input. For lack of a more descriptive name and in compliance with

similar testing performed on hardware systems, the new paradigm is called ―destructive testing‖. As presented in

this paper, destructive testing does not replace conventional testing, rather destructive testing supplements

conventional testing (calls for additional testing beyond conventional testing).

The paper discusses other uses of the term ―destructive testing‖ as applied to software systems. Conventional

testing techniques are ranked based on applicability to destructive testing. Techniques of incorporating

destructive testing requirements into the SRS are proposed, the need and rational for destructive testing is

discussed, and ongoing and future work in destructive testing is outlined.

Abstract— Cloud computing is current buzzword in the market. It is paradigm in which the resources can be

leveraged on per use basis thus reducing the cost and complexity of service providers. Cloud computing

promises to cut operational and capital costs and more importantly let IT departments focus on strategic projects

instead of keeping datacenters running. It is much more than simple internet. It is a construct that allows user to

access applications that actually reside at location other than user‘s own computer or other Internet-connected

devices. There are numerous benefits of this construct. For instance other company hosts user application. This

implies that they handle cost of servers, they manage software updates and depending on the contract user pays

less i.e. for the service only. Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability, Authenticity, and Privacy are essential

concerns for both Cloud providers and consumers as well. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) serves as the

foundation layer for the other delivery models, and a lack of security in this layer will certainly affect the other

delivery models, i.e., PaaS, and SaaS that are built upon IaaS layer. Service Level

Agreement should be considered very much importance.

Abstract: Data deduplication is one of important data compression techniques for eliminating duplicate copies

of repeating data, and has been widely used in cloud storage to reduce the amount of storage space and save

bandwidth. To protect the confidentiality of sensitive data while supporting deduplication, the convergent

encryption technique has been proposed to encrypt the data before outsourcing. Different from traditional

deduplication systems, the differential privileges of users are further considered in duplicate check besides the

data itself. We also present several new deduplication constructions supporting authorized duplicate check in

hybrid cloud architecture.

To better protect data security, this paper makes the first attempt to formally address the problem of authorized

data deduplication. Security analysis demonstrates that our scheme is secure in terms of the definitions specified

in the proposed security model. As a proof of concept, we implement a prototype of our proposed authorized

duplicate check scheme and conduct testbed experiments using our prototype. We show that our proposed

authorized duplicate check scheme incurs minimal overhead compared to normal operations.

Abstract: Due to the rapid development of cloud computing and the increase in Cloud Service providers (CSP),

data outsourcing has become a trend in recent years. This enables the data owner does not need to update his

data. However, it demands security to be sustained for the consumer to trust the service providers. In the

proposed work, the data keep within the cloud is encrypted using the hash function symmetric key ciphering

approach beside the novel Map-Based obvious Multi-Copy Dynamic data Possession (MB-PMDDP) scheme. It

is the most secure technique that uses the key size of 448 bits. The Message Authentication Code and also the

secure hash rule are applied to verify the data integrity of the system. The data owner need not update each

copy, instead data in his cloud will alone be updated .Once the data is updated, and then the Mac code

additionally gets updated. The access to data is provided upon requests and corresponding permission from the

data owner. The performance analysis of the proposed method is compared with that of advanced encryption

standard (AES). The analysis showed improved security and integrity.

Abstract. Now-a-days, there is dramatically change in the generation of computerized data, data-sizes are

increased from terabytes to petabytes which results into unstructured data generation. Maintaining the large size

of data, processing the data, transforming the data, and sending data from one host to another host is big

problem. To overcome these issues, concept of Hadoop is used which is open source distributed computing

framework based on java and supports large set of distributed data processing. But in Hadoop Distributed File

System, Master Name node Failure affects the performance of the Hadoop Cluster. Proposed system presents a

Scenario to overcome this failure by selecting new recovery name node with less amount of time which will

replicate the data from Name node on the other Data node so that the availability of the metadata is increases

and also Decreases the loss and delay of data.

M.KALPANA P.SANTHOSH

Abstract: In these days, Cloud-based storage services are becoming an emerging trend in the field of big data

storage. Presently there are many various problems when designing an efficient storage for cloud-based systems

with some of requirements such as a big-file processing, a lightweight meta-data, low latency, a parallel I/O, de-

duplication, and high scalability. The Key value stores have an important role and have several advantages when

solving those problems. In this paper we introduce A Scalable and Distributed Big File Cloud Storage to solve

most of the problems in big - file cloud storage. We will do this by proposing the less-complicated and fixed

metadata design, that allows quick and highly-concurrent, distributed file I/O, and a simple de-duplication

method for unchanged data. The results can be utilized for building scalable and distributed storage of cloud

data that support a big-file storage with size up to several terabytes.

Abstract: Nowadays data reliability is very critical issue in a de-duplication storage system because it has only

one copy for every file keep in the server is shared by owners. Encryption mechanism has been used to protect

the confidentiality before outsourcing the data into the cloud. To enhance the storage performance in cloud,

need to eliminate the duplicate copies of the data. But cloud consists of one copy for every file stored in cloud

and those are owned by several users. Hence it uses the de-duplication technique to eliminate the duplicate

copies of the data and improves the storage utilization and provides the privacy for the sensitive data when the

users outsourced the data in cloud. This paper formalizes the notion of reliable de-duplication system. We

propose new de-duplication system with higher reliability where the data chunks are distributed across multiple

cloud servers. Hence it uses the secret sharing file level and blocks level of data de-duplication with file

compression, implemented an equivalent in the proposed system and demonstrated in a realistic environments.

Abstract: In the educational domain, process mining has been used in different case studies, with

promising results. To gain structural learning approaches among the courses, universities are tried to

streamline their processes. For this reason, it is essential to take into consideration for an accurate view of the

courses with prerequisites. Nevertheless, few works have tended to process mining as connected in educational

world. These frameworks have a specific method for recording activities which brings about an unclear display

of organizational process in event logs. Such recording of activities defiantly contrasts the results generated by

BPMN and work flow systems, whereas systematic storage of such event logs enforces using process

mining techniques. As of this, the main objectives of the this project are: (I) to improve the usage and

understanding of process mining by developing a methodology for its application in student prerequisites

among the university courses and (II) to detail, in terms of specific tools (e.g. Prom), the implementation of

such methodology.

Abstract: Cloud computing is rapidly becoming an effective and efficient way for computing resources. Cloud

computing delivers hosted services across the Internet by centralized management for resources and services.

Cloud computing is capable of providing the most cost-effective and energy-efficient way for computing

resources management. By using the pay-peruse pricing model the cloud computing will turn the information

technology into an ordinary commodities and utilities. Profit is regarded as most important factor obtained from

the point of view of cloud service providers‘ and it is especially determined by the configuration for a cloud

service platform under the given market demand. Usually, a single long-term renting scheme is used for

configuring a cloud platform that cannot guarantee the quality of service but it may lead to serious resource

waste. In this paper, firstly a double resource renting scheme is designed in which short-term renting and long-

term renting were combined by aiming at the issues of existing one.

Abstract— Significant shifts in the business environment, economic volatility, changing customer and staff

expectations, and the adoption of new technology make it increasingly challenging for banks to navigate

technology strategy alternatives and prioritize technology investments. The banking industry around the world

has undergone a tremendous change in the way business is conducted. Leading banks are using Data Mining

(DM) tools for customer segmentation and profitability, credit scoring and approval, predicting payment default,

marketing, detecting fraudulent transactions, etc. This paper provides an overview of the concept of Data

Mining.

Data might be one of the most valuable assets of any corporation, but only if it knows how to reveal valuable

knowledge hidden in raw data. Data mining allows extracting diamonds of knowledge from the historical data,

and predicting outcomes of future situations. It helps optimize business decisions, increase the value of each

customer and communication, and improve customer satisfaction. Data mining is the process of extracting

previously unknown information, typically in the form of patterns and associations, from large databases.

Today, organizations are realizing the numerous advantages that come with data mining. It is a valuable tool, by

identifying potentially useful information from the large amounts of data collected. An organization can gain a

clear advantage over its competitors.

The banking sector consists of public sector, private sector and foreign banks, apart from smaller regional and

cooperative banks. In the market, various IT-based banking products, services and solutions are available. The

most common of them are Phone Banking; ATM facility; Credit, Debit and Smart Cards; Internet Banking &

Abstract—

In this paper we introduce an induction motor connected to a self controlled single phase inverter

connected to a high power battery. The battery is charged using a hybrid PWM resonant converter. While the

proposed converter has all the benefits of the earlier developed hybrid converters for OBCs, the proposed

converter has fewer components and achieves much lower voltage stress in the rectifying diodes compared to

the earlier hybrid converters. As a result, it is possible to employ superior diodes such as Schottky barrier diodes

below 300 V featuring low forward-voltage drop and better reverse-recovery for EV 3.3-kWOBCapplications.

In addition, the proposed converter achieves much better transformer utilization compared to the earlier hybrid

converters. Due to this, the proposed converter can achieve more optimal efficiency over the overall battery

charging profile. The converter is designed in MATLAB simulink software with characteristic graphs of

induction machine with respect to time.

ABSTRACT

Power electronics and other static controllers are making a major impact on future power systems through

application in transmission, distribution, and small generation. Applications in transmission and distribution

include HVDC, FACTS and Custom Power. "The Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) -- a new

technology based on power electronics -- offers an opportunity to enhance controllability, stability, and power

transfer capability of AC transmission systems." In this project the control of power flow in a transmission

system using a FACTS controller UPFC is understood. Second, the operation of UPFC using a control system

which is based on d-q axis theory is also studied. Finally load flow results and modeling of a power system in

ABSTRACT

This paper proposes a new real and reactive power coordination controller for a unified power flow controller

(UPFC). The basic control for the UPFC is such that the series converter of the UPFC controls the transmission

line real/reactive power flow and the shunt converter of the UPFC controls the UPFC bus voltage/shunt reactive

power and the DC link capacitor voltage. In steady state, the real power demand of the series converter is

supplied by the shunt converter of the UPFC. To avoid instability/loss of DC link capacitor voltage during

transient conditions, a new real power coordination controller has been designed. The need for reactive power

coordination controller for UPFC arises from the fact that excessive bus voltage (the bus to which the shunt

converter is connected) excursions occur during reactive power transfers. A new reactive power coordination

controller has been designed to limit excessive voltage excursions during reactive power transfers. MATLAB-

SIMULINK simulation results have been presented to show the improvement in the performance of the UPFC

control with the proposed real power and reactive power coordination controller

ENHANCEMENT OF POWER FACTOR BY USING EFFICIENT POWER

ELECTRONIC FLY BACK CONVERTER EQUIPMENT

ABSTRACT

New innovations and future standards have increased the interest in power factor improvement circuits. In the

proposed circuit, the power factor is improved by using an auxiliary winding coupled to the transformer of a

cascade DC/DC fly back converter. The auxiliary winding is placed between the input rectifier and the low-

frequency filter capacitor to serve as a magnetic switch to drive an input inductor. The proposed approach is

primarily based on the concept of inductive effect, from which PFC cells composed of energy buffers and high-

frequency signals are introduced. Since the DC/DC fly back converter is operated at high-switching frequency,

the auxiliary windings produce a high frequency pulsating source such that the input current conduction angle is

significantly lengthened and the input current harmonics is reduced. There are multiple solutions in which line

current is sinusoidal. In addition, in the recent years, a great number of circuits have been proposed with non

sinusoidal line current. Properly selecting an eligible PFC cell and inserting it in between input rectifier and dc-

link capacitor can yield an SSC which can improve the input power factor significantly.

ABSTRACT

In this project, the control signal of the series-resonant converter is considered as a slope of a switching surface.

The output characteristic of the converter, for an ideal case and above the resonant frequency, is achieved based

on the slope of the switching surface. This output characteristic leads us to find the related slope for a specific

converter gain. Nonlinear state equations of the series-resonant converter with new control input are represented

in widely used class of hybrid systems that have been called piecewise affine systems. Considering the effects of

the slope variations in the switching surface, a simple and efficient control law is achieved.

The main advantage of the proposed method is that, it is more beneficial in high-frequency applications.

Simulation results confirm our theoretical investigations

power networks worldwide in increasing numbers. The wind power injection in to an electric grid affects the

power quality due to fluctuation nature of wind. The power system is therefore facing new challenges due to

intermittent nature of input source. One of these problems is voltage stability in wind farms equipped with

squirrel cage based induction generators. Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) devices can be used for

this problem. This paper, investigates the Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) application to achieve

continuous operation of wind turbine equipped with cage based induction generators during grid faults. The

simulation has been done in MATLAB/Simulink framework. It is shown that a Static Synchronous Compensator

(STATCOM) enhances voltage profile of power grid containing induction generator based wind farm.

ROTATING SWITCHING SURFACE CONTROL OF SERIES RESONANT

CONVERTER BASED ON A PIECE WISE AFFINE MODE

Simulation results confirm our theoretical investigations.

ABSTRACT

This project proposes an indirect method for self-tuning of the PID controller gains. Some of the modern voltage

regulator systems are utilizing the Proportional, Integral, and Derivative (PID) control for stabilization. Based

on given excitation system parameters, several PID tuning approaches are reported. Since in general, these

parameters are not available during commissioning, specifically the machine time constants, this lack of

information causes a considerable time delay and cost of fuel usage for commissioning the automatic voltage

regulator (AVR). To reduce the commissioning time and cost, the excitation system parameters are utomatically

identified and the PID gains are calculated using well-developed algorithms. Recursive Least Square (RLS) with

linearization via feedback is proposed to identify the system parameters. The performance of the proposed

method is evaluated with several generator sets. With self-tuned PID gains, commissioning is accomplished

very quickly with excellent performance results.

OPTIMAL VOLTAGE REGULATOR PLACEMENT IN A RADIAL DISTRIBUTION

ABSTRACT

The operation and planning studies of a distribution system require a steady state condition of the system for

various load demands. Voltage has always been considered as an integral part of the power system response.

There are several factors which contribute to voltage collapse such as increased loading on transmission lines,

reactive power constraints, on load tap changer dynamics and load characteristics. So, we proposed a computer

algorithm for optimal voltage control, suitable for large radial distribution network.

Our aim is to obtain optimal voltage control with voltage regulators and then to decrease the total cost of voltage

regulators and losses, to obtain net saving. This algorithm makes the initial selection, installations and tap

setting of the voltage regulators which provide a smooth voltage profile along the network. It is also used to

obtain the minimum number of the initially selected voltage regulators, by moving them in such way as to

control the network voltage at the minimum possible cost. Software using MATLAB has been developed and

also implemented using Fuzzy Logic and the results of both, conventional and using Fuzzy are compared.

ABSTRACT

Multilevel inverters have received more attention in industrial application, such as motor drives, FACTS devices

and renewable energy systems, etc. Primarily multilevel inverters are known to have output voltages with more

than two levels. A modular multilevel converter (MMC) is one of the next-generation multilevel converters

intended for high or medium-voltage power conversion without transformers. Compared with the existing

multilevel converters, one of the most desirable advantages offered by MMC may be its ability to process both

active power and reactive power with its terminals directly connected to high-voltage networks. D-STATCOM

(Distribution Static Compensator) is a shunt device which is generally used to solve power quality problems in

distribution systems. D-STATCOM is used in correcting power factor, maintaining constant distribution voltage

and mitigating harmonics in a distribution network. In this project MMC D-STATCOM inverter controls the DC

link voltage as well as the active and reactive power transferred between the renewable energy source,

specifically wind turbine, and the grid in order to regulate the power factor (PF) of the grid regardless of the

input active power from wind turbine. In this concept in future by increasing the levels of Multilevel Inverter we

improve the power quality. In this project we compare the five and seven level Multi level Inverters. The

proposed topology developed by using MATLAB/Simulink software.

ABSTRACT

This paper presents a very fast dc-bus voltage controller for a single-phase grid-connected voltage-source

inverter (VSI) with an LCL output filter used in renewable energy applications. In single-phase grid-connected

inverters, the design of the dc-bus voltage control scheme is very challenging due to the presence of a second

harmonic ripple across the dc-bus voltage.

The proposed dc-bus voltage control scheme is able to address the difficulties introduced by the second-

harmonic ripple. The dc-bus voltage controller is based on an adaptive droop control technique, which is able to

provide a very fast transient response for the closed-loop system and ensures the optimal operation of the VSI

during steady-state conditions. Also, the simple structure of the controller makes it very practical for grid-

connected VSIs used in renewable energy power conditioning systems .Theoretical analysis and experimental

results demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed control approach compared to conventional dc-bus

voltage control schemes.

ABSTRACT

In this paper we are introducing a voltage gainer circuit with very high gain of 20times applied for low

voltage renewable sources. The converter is then connected to an inverter to change the DC to PWM AC to run

electrical loads. The two input boost converter has two inputs with multiple stages with odd and even

comparison. The suggested topologies can be used as multiport converters and draw continuous current from

two input sources. They can also draw continuous current from a single source in an interleaved manner. This

versatility makes them appealing in renewable applications such as solar farms. The proposed converters can

easily achieve a gain of 20 while benefiting from a continuous input current. Such a converter can individually

link a PV panel to a 400-V dc bus. The design and modeling is done in MATLAB software with all dynamic

characteristics of the power electronic devices with respect to time.

ABSTRACT

In this paper we introduce a double deck buck boost converter with soft switching capability by

parasitic capacitors. The buck boost converter is tested with wide range of application which charges the battery

at lower voltages and also runs electronic loads at higher voltages. The proposed converter is constructed of two

identical buck-boost converters working in parallel. The converter units are connected to each other by an

inductor as a bridge. This inductor plays an important role in the soft switching operation of the converter by

maintaining the voltage applied to switches at zero at switching intervals. The utilized method is called the zero-

voltage switching. It is shown that the structure of the proposed converter is significantly efficient in the

reduction of switching losses, leading to the improvement of the converter efficiency.

ABSTRACT

In this paper a three phases PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) rectifier is used for the operation of three

phase induction machine through three phase PWM inverter. The rectification of the three phase AC voltage is

done for the speed control of induction machine. A switch fault analysis is carried on the rectifier by introducing

an open circuit switch and also a short circuit switch and observes the characteristics of the converter. Thus, this

paper presents a new and fast model-based approach for open-switch fault diagnosis of the single-phase pulse

width modulation rectifier, based on the mixed logical dynamic model and residual generation. It requires no

additional hardware but only some measurements and command signals which are available in control system.

This diagnosis method is quite suitable for electrical traction application due to the fast diagnosis time, simple

structure and high reliability. The design and modeling is carried out in MATLAB Simulink with all graphical

representations.

ABSTRACT

In this paper we introduce a closed loop control of a high step up DC-DC converter with quasi active

switched inductor for a variable input DC source like solar array. The feedback loop controller has a PI

controller controlling the duty ratio of the power electronic switches. The proposed converter is composed of

two coupled inductors which can be integrated into one magnetic core, two capacitors, two active switches, and

three diodes. The primary sides of coupled inductors are charged in parallel by the input source, and the

secondary sides of coupled inductors are discharged in series with the input source and two capacitors to achieve

high step-up voltage gain with an appropriate duty ratio. The two sets of diode–capacitor circuits not only help

to lift the voltage conversion gain but also alleviate voltage spike affected by the leakage inductance to limit the

voltage stress across the power switch effectively. Therefore, the two low on-state resistance switches can be

adopted to reduce conduction loss. Furthermore, the two diodes have no reverse-recovery problem due to turn

off naturally, the reverse-recovery problem of the output diode is also alleviated by the leakage inductor and

lower part count is needed; therefore, the power conversion efficiency can be further improved. The operating

principles and steady-state analyses are discussed in detail; then, the performance of the proposed converter is

compared with existing converters. The design and analysis is carried out in MATLAB software with complete

results and graphical representations.

ABSTRACT

Power electronics devices are widely used in different fields and for different residential applications. The

expansion of their field of applications is related to the knowledge of the device behavior and of their practical

performances. A boost converter is used to clamp the voltage stresses of all the switches in the interleaved

converters, caused by the leakage inductances present in the practical coupled inductors, to a low voltage level.

Overall performance of the renewable energy system is then affected by the efficiency of step-up DC/DC

converters with closed loop control action, which are the key parts in the system power chain. This paper

presents a dc-dc power converter integrated closed loop system to attain high stability factor in such a way to

obtain, in a single conversion stage, the maximum energy extraction from photovoltaic panels, battery charging

and discharging dynamic control, and high voltage step-up, also operating with soft-switching capability. This

review is mainly focused on high efficiency step-up DC/DC converters with high voltage gain. The results are

obtained through Matlab/Simulink software package.

ABSTRACT

In this paper we introduce a high step down converter with control of Duty ratio with fuzzy control of the

MOSFET switches with high switching frequency. The error of the voltage comparison is fed to membership

functions of fuzzy rule base which controls the duty ratio with change in voltage error. In this study, a coupled-

inductor-based SIMO step-down converter utilizes two power switches with the properties of voltage clamping

for the middle-voltage switch, and soft switching for all power switches due to the appropriate choice of the

corresponding device specifications. As a result, the leakage inductor energy of the coupled inductor can be

recycled, and the voltage spikes on power switches can be alleviated. Moreover, the switching losses can be

significantly decreased because of all power switches with zero-voltage-switching features. Therefore, the

objectives of high-efficiency power conversion, high step-down ratio, and various output voltage with different

levels can be obtained. The modeling and analysis is done in MATLAB software with dynamic variation of

input voltage and all graphical representations of active and passive element characteristics.

ABSTRACT

In this paper we introduce a three phase four switch inverter controlled by PWM technique fed to a

PMSM. The conventional feedback controller has PI control for the dynamic change in current, which is

replaced with ANFIS control with training by back propagation algorithm. ANFIS is considered to be more

adaptive and has a very high response rate as compared to other controllers. As a result of their reduced number

of switches, three-phase four-switch (TPFS) inverters are generally applied as cost-reduction topologies for

permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drives. However, the torque ripples of PMSMs severely

deteriorate the performance and reliability of the entire system. The torque and speed characteristics of the

PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator) are represented in the is paper with graphical

representations with respect to time and change in dynamic parameters of the machine. The design and analysis

is carried out in MATLAB Simulink environment with reports generated in graphs.

ABSTRACT:

This article examined the critical roles that employees play in an organization‘s relationship-building process

with its publics. By conducting an in-depth case study of a government organization‘s exemplary community

relations programs, the researcher explored links among three focal concepts: employee organization

relationships, employee-public relationships, and organization-public relationships. Field research was

conducted over the course of seven weeks. Data were collected through long interviews, participant

observations, and document analysis. Based on the findings of this study, a normative public relations theory of

integrative internal and external organizational relationship management was proposed. The findings suggest

that employees who have positive employee-organization relationships (i.e. employees who have high level of

commitment) and those who are capable of using symmetrical cultivation strategies contribute significantly to

the development of positive organization-public relationships. The study also found that when the external

publics have positive interactions and develop trusting individual relationships with employees, they tend to

evaluate the overall organization positively. In other words, when employees have positive employee-

organization relationships and employee-public relationships, external publics who interact with those

employees tended to develop positive organization-public relationships.

ABSTRACT

This paper presents the results of a mail survey used to investigate the relationship between continuous

improvement/innovation management practices. Nowadays the companies live in a constant changing world

where customers demand better products, higher quality and shorter delivery times. To achieve these customers

requirements companies rely on Continuous Improvement to reach their goals but without having a clear

strategy for it.

Continuous improvement (CI) can be seen as a fundamental principle, making it possible for organizations to

adapt and evolve in an ever changing business environment. However, they are mostly considered within typical

process-based contexts, e.g. manufacturing and production processes, while CI within project-based contexts,

e.g. construction and development projects, is more uncommon. The specific characteristics of a project based

organization (PBO), e.g. unique deliveries, temporary teams and time constraints, influence how CI can be

applied. Also, articles describing CI in a project management (PM) context, e.g. in different kinds of maturity

models, appears to be on an overall level. Therefore, the aim of this study is to explore prerequisites (potential

drivers and obstacles) of applying CI in a PBO.

The most significant predictors of high management practices were found to be:

• The adoption of a continuous improvement and innovation management strategy. This was found to be a

critical factor for management practice to achieve their strategic goals and objectives.

• The use of core technologies and organizational objectives as a guide for evaluating new ideas and information

as part of the continuous improvement and innovation management system.

The paper concludes that a continuous improvement and innovation management strategy and system are

significant predictors of management performance. The implication for managers is that these practices are

imperative in order to avoid management failure. The findings are consistent with the literature.

Key Words: continuous improvement, innovation, performance.

Abstract

The Sr3SiO5: Ce3+/Dy3+ phosphors were prepared via a citrate assisted sol-gel method. The prepared samples

were characterized by X-ray diffraction pattern, scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared

spectroscopy and fluorescence spectroscopy. When excited with near-ultraviolet (NUV) (360 nm) irradiation,

the photoluminescence emission spectra showed a broad band blue emission of Ce3+ions combined with the

sharp excitation peaks of Dy3+ ions. Energy transfer occurred between the Ce3+ and Dy3+ ions and it increased

with the increase of Dy3+ ion concentration. The luminescence properties of the prepared phosphor materials

can be adjusted by changing the concentration ratio of the Ce3+ and Dy3+ ions. The prepared phosphor

materials also exhibited good thermal stability and the results make these phosphors potential candidates for

their application in NUV excited white light-emitting diodes.

Minimization of Heavy Vehicle Suspension System using

fibres

A. Sheshagiri Rao

Department of Mechanical Engineering, MRIET, Hyderabad, India.

Abstract

A leaf spring is a simple form of spring, commonly used for the suspension in vehicles. Leaf Springs are long

and narrow plates attached to the frame of a trailer that rest above or below the trailer's axle. There are mono

leaf springs, or single-leaf springs, that consist of simply one strip of spring steel. These are usually thick in the

middle and taper out toward the end, and they don't typically offer too much strength and suspension for towed

vehicles. Drivers looking to tow heavier loads typically use multi leaf springs, which consist of several leaf

springs of varying length stacked on top of each other. The shorter the leaf spring, the closer to the bottom it will

be, giving it the same semielliptical shape a single leaf spring gets from being thicker in the middle. The

automobile industry has shown increased interest in the replacement of steel spring with fiberglass composite

leaf spring due to high strength to weight ratio .In this paper a leaf spring used in a heavy vehicle is designed.

While designing leaf spring following four cases are considered: by changing the thickness, changing no. of

leaves, changing camber and changing span. Presently used material for leaf spring is Steel. The objective of

this paper is to compare the load carrying capacity, stiffness and weight savings of composite leaf spring with

that of steel leaf spring. The design constraints are stresses and deflections. In this thesis, the material is replaced

with composites since they are less dense than steel and have good strength. The strength validation is done

using FEA software ANSYS by structural analysis. Modal analysis is also done to determine the frequencies.

The composites used are Aramid Fiber and Glass Fiber. Pro/Engineer software is used for modeling and

ANSYS is used for analysis.
