On 22nd September 2017, Dolphin Hanoi holds 8th anniversary marking 8 years of development

side by side. Over the past 9 months, Dolphin Hanoi has made the spotlight by impressive facts

and figures, with growth rate increasing by 123% compared to whole year 2016 and reaching

110% against the plan by the BOD.

Over the past 8 years of establishment and development, Dolphin Hanoi affirms its reputation and

trade mark of Dolphin Sea Air Services Corp in general in Vietnamese market, especially in the

North, a flagship not only in Dolphin but also the whole Bee Group. It is certain that such success

is thanks to contribution of devotion, strength and brainpower from many generation of

employees in Dolphin Hanoi, those who have been shoulder by shoulder contributing to building

up Dolphin sweet home. Such contribution is recognized, respected and maintained.

The typical features of Dolphin “speedy in any action, flexible in any situation, spirit of teamwork,

In the morning of 02 October, 2017, Bee Logistics Corporation has jubilantly celebrated the exhilarant party marking the milestone of 13th anniversary (01/10/2004 – 01/10/2017). All offices are thrilled by welcoming the new age with colorful and lovely flower baskets. Everyone gather around the sweet birthday cake, blowing up the candles, cheering everyone up. It is really an enjoyable highlight with lots of laughter. And the joy is doubled by the congratulation message and monetary gift from the leadership. 13 years hand in hand, we together share sorrow and mirth, side by side we contribute to the Company’s thriving and success. Immersed in the warm and enjoyable atmosphere celebrating the Mid-autumn festival all other the

country, thanks to the care by the Corporation leaders and the trade union, at the early days of

October, “Joyful Mid-Autumn Festival” was organized by trade union of many branches/offices for

children of employees working

in Bee and Dolphin.

a fun-packed and not-to-be-

missed show with a string of

games, indoor and outdoor

activities, such as fantastic lion

dance, dancing, quiz,... In

combination with professional

event organizers, all employees

joined hands in preparing for

our kids the festival of colors

with star-shaped lanterns,

balloon, and a boisterous

brouhaha of laughter.

Interestingly, the trade union

on behalf of the Company granted little gifts to every kid, bringing joy and cheer to children.

The show attracted enthusiastic support and participation of numerous staffs and their children. Our

little stars experienced a cheerful mid-autumn party, an unforgettable event. This is a practical activity

to share and preserve treasurable values of our tradition, and to help kids understand and keep with

traditional mid-autumn festival. It portrays well on their childhood picture. It is moreover meaningful

in expressing the love, the care for future generations, creating a wholesome and helpful playground,

encouraging children to be good ones.

Football League DOLPHIN CUP – Hanoi Young CEO Club

In the morning of 01st October, in Hanoi, the opening ceremony for football league of Hanoi

Young CEO Club – Hanoi Business Association, DOLPHIN CUP 2017 was organized.

Attending this opening ceremony: Mr. Tran Van Toan, Permanent Deputy Chairman

of Hanoi Business Association; Mr. Cao The Anh, Deputy Chairman of Hanoi

Business Association; Mr. Phi Dinh Kien, Deputy Chairman of Hanoi Business

Association; Mr. Tran Dang Nam, Chairman of Hanoi Young CEO Club, the diamond

sponsor for the league; Mr. Nguyen Khoa Bao, Deputy Chairman of Hanoi Business

Association, Head of the Organization Board and leadership representatives of the

According to the organization board, Football League for Hanoi Young CEO Club,

Dolphin Cup this year is organized to promote exchange and cooperation amongst

members of Hanoi Young CEO Club, and in occasion of 5 years anniversary of Hanoi

Young CEO Club (3/10/2012 – 3/10/2017); and in celebration of Vietnam

Entrepreneur's Day 13/10/2017. Football players are almost employees working for

companies who are members of HBA and Hanoi Young CEO Club. This football

league will therefore be a chance for physical exercising, bettering health, enhancing

sport activities in Hanoi young business community.

Final result: Dolphin Team is the runner-up in the final round. Dolphin players

demonstrated a spectacular performance on Son Trang 2 Stadium, Hoang Minh

Giam. Even Dolphin team gave the way to Dai An team with final score 2-0, more

importantly, Dolphin Team showed very eye-catching and amazing football pitches

with fair-play spirit and enthusiastic cheering from the audience, gaining the prize for

the most exciting cheering team. Dolphin spirit of playing and cheering is highly

appreciated by enterprise community. This event is helpful in promoting image and

branding of Dolphin Sea air in enterprises community and it is expected that in the

next leagues, the God of luck will smile at Dolphin and Dolphin will do better.

English Class at Bee – Dol HCM Office

As one of the market-leading logistics service providers in Vietnam, involving in global

transactions, in addition to continual improvement of service quality, Bee Group takes to

heart the consolidation of staffing proficiency, especially in foreign languages.

With the aim of bettering foreign languages capacity for employees, Bee Dol Ho Chi Minh

City is now piloting the model of English language teaching after the working time, from

17h30 to 18h30 on daily basis in the meeting room, learners are instructed by Ms. Lisa Ho

Nhu Thuy. Ms. Lisa is also an experienced English teacher with fascinating teaching method

and she prepares the teaching plan by herself.

Recognizing Lisa’s dedication, learners take part in the class in excitement, showing the

eagerness for learning. It is expected that this model, after being successfully implemented in

a certain period of time, will be applied to northern area such as Hanoi, Hai Phong Bee,

Dolphin offices and other ones.

Volume of airfreight of Bee Logistics has recently proven good result of development and

growth, and Bee Logistics becomes a large trade mark in airfreight market. Vietnam Airlines

is one of the greatest partners with whom Bee signs service contract. To show gratefulness

and to tighten partnership, Bee Logistics participated in Vietnam Airlines Golf Challenge and

Dolphin Hai Phong celebrated the 7th anniversary

On 27 October, 2017, Dolphin Hai Phong office jubilantly celebrated the 7th anniversary of

establishment. This year, Dolphin Hai Phong team of young, dynamic members with so much

passion, so much enthusiasm blew a new breath of air, new color, breakthrough in the celebration

style of party, marking 7 years Dolphin members have been accompanying on the eventful pathway.

With the presence of brother Henry Dinh Huu Thanh, Mr. Victor Tran Dang Nam – President cum

CEO of Dolphin and Ms. Judy Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh – Dolphin Hanoi Branch Director, sparing no

pains, came to share joy with Dolphin Hai Phong. Delivering a speech on this memorable event,

brother Henry and Victor shared weal and emotion, being beloved by Dolphin members, wishing

Dolphin to stand firm in the face of difficulties, holding out on their way of development.

Since its establishment, Dolphin Hai Phong is really stabilized with solidarity and better achievement,

beyond expectation, when Dolphin Hai Phong officially had OM – the skillful and dedicated

leadership by Ms. Ha Kate – the youngest OM in our Group, and effort for collective strength

cohesion from those working with the Dolphin Hai Phong for long term, who are now wrapped up in

their works. This is indicated by business performance of Dolphin Hai Phong, impressive figures for 9

early months, increasing by 101% against whole year 2016, reaching out to 91.16% compared to the

planned by BOD.

Over the past 7 years of establishment and development, Dolphin Hai Phong has active contribution

to the general development of Dolphin Sea Air Services Corp in Vietnamese market, especially in

terms of consolidated shipments. Volume of imported consolidation shipments has increased sharply,

Bee Hai Phong - Conference Prevention of Risks in Custom Declaration and

Handling Process of International Freight Transport

In the morning of 28th

October, 2017, a Conference addressing “Prevention of Risks in

Custom Declaration and Handling Process of International Freight Transport” took place at

the Conference Hall 6th

floor, GTIC Building. The Conference gathered representatives from

20 enterprises with registered operation locations in industrial and processing zones in Hai

Phong City. Kicking off the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong – Bee HPH Export

Manager dealt with airfreight and sea freight export handling process as well as common

risks. Then Ms. Pham Thi Lan Huong – Import Supervisor covered a presentation on

imported freight handling process and what to be noted, common risks in terms of import

freight. Finally, Ms. Vu Thanh Minh – Bee Nam Dinh Office Manager delivered a speech on

how to prevent risks during preparation of custom clearance documents, common mistakes

having influence on the profess of cargo release. The conference ended successfully by

dedication and professionalism of Bee Logistics.

This conference was an event hosted by Bee Logistics Corporation Hai Phong Branch for the

purpose of dialoging, linking, sharing with customers, thereby establishing and maintaining

fruitful relationship with customers, attracting potential customers and reinforcing the

company competitiveness.

The foregoing discussion with title “Logistics – a fascinating career” in our October Newsletter implies

that logistics, notwithstanding many opportunities, poses challenges to courageous game players. Working

in this sector, each position, each one has their own experience, and they are laborious in their own way.

Yet it is supposed that, the “hardest” job in all departments, is operation staff (Ops). Let us share to

understand more about their career.

Working as an Ops, in addition to other requirements, employees have to satisfy certain criteria to fulfill

their duties in the most effective manner. As the way it is characterized, to get the freight batch handled

quickly and smoothly, it is a must for Ops to have general knowledge of laws, requirements on

procedures, documents, because the more precise documents are, the faster custom clearance is, and the

batch of cargo will “float” more rapidly, but if “involving” in the hard one, Ops have to work round-the-

clock. Ops shall seize through requirements on import, export license, certificates of every kind, manifest,

and have to get across accurately and promptly any questions by custom officials and customers. Every so

often, with special cargo, Ops must seek for particular regulations, information applied to such

commodities. Ops’ tasks are various, ranging from taking DO, letter of authorization, advance payment,

counting in the warehouse, loading to vehicles, labeling, cargo inspection and so on. The job is too touch

that they feel exhausted. Another key thing to remember, a good relationship with custom officials is very

beneficial to their job, how to pamper “chief” (custom official receiving the documents). Generally,

requirements for this job is quite diversified and changeable.

Like other positions, Ops duties have

a significant part in accelerating the

cargo delivery and circulation,

smoothly and quickly, improving

freight forwarding services quality.

This job is however listed in

category of dangerous one since

employees are frequently exposed to

hazardous environment, smoke and

dust, going out early and coming

back late, and there is likelihood for

them to be in risk riding out on every

way. This work is burdensome,

necessitating good health, spirit,

patience, strong nerves,

industriousness, sparing no pains,

especially ability to bear the high

working pressure.

When it comes to working pressure,

it is surely not a new concept to

employees. Nonetheless, how to

overcome working pressure would

not be ever an easy question to

answer.

Indeed, any job, any

position suffers from its

own pressure, but it is not

exaggerating that Ops bears

the hardest working

pressure.

Regarding sources, it is pressure

from customers, from boss, from

colleagues, and from governmental

officials (custom). From the angle

of pressure categories, it is

pressure by time (being hastened

all the time), space (riding much),

transparency, complaint, claim

from parties, and other unnamable

pressure.

This work is however interesting.

Working as Ops, they have chance

to broaden their knowledge and

skills considerably, to meet many

people and to build up relationship.

Those who are able to stand firm

with this job, most of them have

passion for work, great enough to

bridge over every hardship,

pressure, and notably, they are

born to be ops.

Face of November is Ms. Pham Thi Oanh, BD Sales working in Dolphin Hai Phong. Until

now, only 3 months since she joined Bee Group, she has got surprising achievement. As a

matter of fact, some people may think „The proof of the pudding is in the eating” , and up to

present, it is likely too soon to affirm she is “ successful” in sales activities. However, only in 3

months, from a layman, she is capable of gaining 60 containers/ each month with Kyocera –

one of the largest, well-known, and demanding customers in Hai Phong, this is a good news,

demonstrating a definitely admirable effort. More importantly, what she achieves drives our

mindset changed, especially new sales executives. She proves that: From Zero to Hero, it is

not impossible, the key to success is you try you best, with support from team, and above all

others: As venture as the life allows!

Could you please tell us something about you?

I like this sentence “ no venture, no gain’’. People may look at me as a crazy one but still I never stop doing what I believe I can gain, even sometimes I could fail in my original purpose. Straight, hot-tempered, no clever talk, sometimes these limit my achievement, my way. But I am always proud that I work hard, play hard as I am always.

How you were fated to swim to Dolphin Hai Phong?

I came to Dolphin HP more than 2 years ago to sell photocopy machine. But then I did not come back and think about Dolphin anymore because as my evaluation, at least that time and 1 year later Dolphin would be definitely not my customer. I did not want to waste my time for them. But I still remembered the logo, the website and the word “ cooperation ’’ .

I applied to Dolphin as CS staff via vietnamworks because I am curious. I wanted to know how Dolphin is now, and if I might have chance to learn new field, a hot job in HP - logistic. It was fun and joyful talking with Kate during interview time, driving my desire to work in Dolphin as a sales executive because this is not the first time I’ve applied for a different position but offered to be a sales staff.

When you first joined Dolphin, what favorable conditions and difficulties were you coping then? And how could you overcome such difficulties?

I thought I would stop working in Dolphin after 1 month starting because of many reasons. But I am still here because Mr. Victor gives me his trust. I feel I have more hope, opportunities. And I believe that I can do it. Then, that is not a reason any more. Luckily my customers give me more inspiration. That is main reason for me to try more and more to make effort in offering them the best service. Customers love me; I don’t care of anything else.

How do you make access to customer? What skills you use to get their good impression and then their decision making on using our services?

My hobby is to collect customer’s information. I have a collection of contact list. Some are usable, some can help in my current work, and other sources like internet , linkedin, jobstreet, vietnamwork, friends. I am a new comer so I will never come to meet customer

alone. Mr. Ninh, Mr. Henry, Mr. Victor, Mr Đoan, Ms. Kate…. All of them join my meeting with customer at the first time. The key point to get appointment is my ‘speech’ and to control voice, I think. I write down one speech and practice it smoothly. That is my way.

What message you want to convey to and to inspire other sales executives, especially young and new ones?

I think the most important factors for a good sales executive are FLAME OF ENTHUSIASM, DESIRE, INSPIRATION. Keep you flame always fired. Just be confident about our service. We do not come to ask for their help. We come to find a good opportunity to cooperate, to get win-win business.
