With Colorado’s recent legalization of recreational marijuana use, Denver-based Dixie Elixers expanded into a new 30,000 square foot edibles production facility to meet expected demand. They see their mission as a dual one: creating a quality product, but also educating the public about the new industry.
Industrial distributor Grainger has taken the LEED on energy
efficiency. Industrial Distribution toured their one million square foot stocking distribution center Minooka,
Illinois. Not only is this facility one of the world’s largest
platinum-rated LEED certified Commercial Interiors, it is optimized for continuous
improvement and workplace ergonomics.

Industrial Distribution took a look at Lawson Products’ McCook, Illinois, facility – storing thousands of SKUs across 305,000 square feet. The facility is designed to meet the needs of Lawson’s Value Proposition: a focus on consumable MRO,
high durability private label products, and a specialty in sophisticatedly predictive VMI.
