The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in the absolute center of downtown Kansas City is not just a strik- ing building but also home to three of the city’s most prominent cultural entities – Kansas City’s symphonic orchestra, ballet academy and opera. Kauffman Center for the Performing ArtsKansas�City�[US]

It�is�a�building�of�dignity�and�above�all,�a�hub�for�a�flourishing�cultural�life�that�demands�its�space,�and�the�Kaufman�Center�for�the�Performing�Arts�is�just�as�grandiose�in�its�architectonic�expression�as�in�its�spaciousness.�Fellert’s�assignment�was�to�provide�freedom�of�design�for�the�large�and�expansive�ceil-ings,�but�also�to�rein�in�the�acoustics�in�an�environ-ment�that�is�primarily�made�up�of�stone,�metal�and�glass.�Mission�accomplished!
