A bit more complex than….!

What sucks?

Who cares?

What are you going to do about it?

•  Describe the problem to be solved through design!•  Why do you think it is important to solve this problem?!•  Why do you want to participate in this project?!•  Why do you think this problem has not been successfully

addressed before?!•  What currently exists (if anything) to try to solve this problem?!•  In your opinion, what could be the best and worst case

scenarios of possible design?!•  In your opinion, what are the strongest and weakest features of

the potential design?!•  …!

!  A “more open” approach into design proposals!!  Possibilities of disruptive results "out of the box"!!  Surprising the student to the natural world strategies!!  Approaching Nature to Design!!  Satisfaction to find solutions to real problems!!  Teamwork synergy!!  There are no right/wrong results only more or less useful ones!!  Conservationist pro-behaviour!

"  Difficult coordination of outside journeys !"  Difficult including +1 teacher!

"  Initial rejection from urban student-type!"  Disconnection between the terminology from biology !

to design and viceversa!

"  Lack of contents in spanish!"  Lack of specific biomimicry design exercises outside-inside!

Creation of a teachers network in spanish!Sharing contents!Ask Nature in spanish to non-english community!Expand the network of places to practice (zoos, parks, reserves ...)!Possibility of external university credits!

For this course 2015-2016 (next semester)!

•  Starting with reading and destilling science reseach paper!

•  Then took on the challenge of translating the science into potential design!

•  Mapping identifying next steps toward proof of concept, testing and manufacturing!

•  Morphological matrix by matching design specifications, parameters, functions/properties! to possible solutions or solution strategies!

Some different approach never done before…!!
