During its first year of use teak weathers beautifully to a pleasing soft grey when left outdoors exposed to sunlight and the elements Arthur Lauer furniture is made of the highest grade sustainably harvested teak and the strongest possible construction enabling it to last a lifetime without treatment and with minimal maintenance

Teak furniture will last for years without attention However sap pollen chemicals and contaminants in the air can affect its appearance Fortunately teak furniture is as easy to clean as it is to love Simply wash your furniture each year with a mild soap or detergent

In areas where water contains a lot of iron and other chemicals you may need to add up to 50 of household bleach to mild soap or detergent (try without bleach first) For stubborn sap stains or heavily soiled furniture we have Semco 2-part cleaner

If you prefer not to let your teak furniture age and wether to its natural silvery-gray color you may choose to preserve the original wood color with a protective stain or finish If so be advised that there is no permanent stain solution for teak wood and in order to maintain the look of the new wood you will need to reapply the protective finish annually We strongly advise against using teak oil to stain your furniture as it is an organic product and will encourage mildew and discoloring

To protect the color of your teak furniture we recommend sealer available here Please note that the application of any product to the surface of your teak furniture even a colorless stain will make the color of the wood appear slightly darker

All of our fully assembled at the factory teak products are designed for a lifetime of trouble-free use and are covered by a limited ten year warranty covering normal residential use Our teak furniture sold in flat pack (partially assembled) form by our factory or sold as kits are warranted for five and one years respectively These warranties apply to the original customerinstallation with proof of purchase and covers any defects in materials or workmanship provided that the product is measured and installed according to the product instructions In the unlikely event that warranty service is needed call customer service and we will arrange for a repair or replacement as quickly as possible

Each piece is crafted from the finest teak wood Teak is the one of the strongest and most stable woods used for outdoor furniture and will outlast any other wood however unusual wear and tear may require a replacement part which we will quickly send for a nominal fee
