I gave out my questionnaire to 10 people. Due to the feedback from my questionnaire, I have decided to change the target audience from 16-24 year olds to 15-17 year olds. As shown from my graph, the majority of the people I asked were around this age. I have also learnt that people from this age range are more likely to buy magazines than 16-24 year olds and that age range is very wide so it would be difficult to appeal to them. I have also decided to make my magazine an indie magazine. Indie magazines are very popular with my chosen target audience and 7 out of the 10 people I gave my questionnaire out to favoured reading indie magazines to any other type of magazine. I gave out my questionnaire to 10 people. Due to the feedback from my questionnaire, I have decided to change the target audience from 16-24 year olds to 15-17 year olds. I have also decided to make my magazine an indie magazine. Indie magazines are very popular with my chosen target audience and 7 out of the 10 people I gave my questionnaire out to favoured reading indie magazines to any other type of magazine.

I was very sceptical about the colour scheme of my magazine as this is what would either draw and audience in or away from the magazine. The colour scheme of purple, blue and black has been the most popular with the people I gave my questionnaire out to (8 out of 10 people chose this option) so I have also decided to go with this colour scheme. These three colours go very well with each other and are very appropriate for my target audience.I have come to the conclusion that I will make the price of my magazine to either be £3.50 or £3.99. Due to the feedback from my questionnaire, I am aware that most people are willing to pay £3-4 for a magazine, which resulted in my making the price of my magazine in between that range. I will later decide the final price of my magazine once I get feedback from my focus group.

Although this seemed like a peculiar question, I wanted to know what would appeal to my target audience most. Majority of the people preferred my magazine to have a female model on my front cover, 7 out of 10 people chose a female whereas only 3 out of 10 chose a male. Now that I am aware of this, I can decide on who I want to be the main model in the front cover of my magazine and begin to think about my star image.

Even though I was sure a lot of people would want a free gift in the magazine, such as a free poster included inside, less people chose that option. Also, if I was to include a free gift for example, a CD, not everyone may like the artist so they might end up discarding it, leaving the magazine company at a loss rather than a profit. As a result of this, I have come to the conclusion that I will not include a free gift in my magazine. However, my magazine will include posters and competitions which will appeal to my target audience.

Studio shoots are the most appealing to my target audience, therefore, the images I take of my model will be a studio shoot. This will also allow my magazine to seem more professional as it gives me a chance to work with lighting

Monthly issues are very popular and most magazines people buy are monthly issues which is why everyone I who answered my questionnaire opted for this option.

From this question I have learnt that most people don’t regularly buy magazines consistently which is why I have concluded that my magazine issues should be published monthly. This is because a week is far too common and seasonal is to rare and not many magazines publish their issue for the seasons.

The final question in my questionnaire was about the title of the magazine. These names included, 'decade' - people my magazine is going to have a 90s vibe to it, 'polarize', 'hurricane' and 'interstellar'. To my surprise, no one chose hurricane as an option, only one person chose decade and 2 people chose interstellar. The majority (7 out of 10) of the people I gave my questionnaire out to preferred 'polarize' out of all the other options, therefore this is going to be the name of my magazine. Sophie Ejaife AS Media
