If you already use LearningExpress Library, this will be the same as the user name and password for that site. Username is your library card number and password you picked out yourself when you registered.

Logging On to the Database

If this is the first time you have used either this database or LearningExpress Library click on this link to register.

New User Registration

If you have never used this database or LearningExpress Library you will have to register using this screen. Username is your library card number and the password is anything you want as long as it is 6 characters long.

Under the “Getting Started” tab there is an area to build your profile and work on occupation matches.

On the “Personal Profile” page you will have to input a minimum of information (First and Last Name, State, and Zip Code).

Also you will be asked to add your education level. The choices range from “Some or No High School” up to “Doctorate.”

Once you complete your personal profile the database will prompt you to complete the “Occupation Matcher.”

On the first page of the Occupation Matcher you will be asked for your preparation level. Levels range from 1: Little or No Preparation to 5: Extensive Preparation

You will then come to the “Occupation Matcher” test. The test consists of 18 “pages” of questions which you will need to state if you would like, dislike, or are unsure about performing a specific task.

After you complete the test, the database returns results with categories showing each interest level in graph form based on the answers to the questions.

Occupations are then selected for you based on your two strongest interest categories and your level of preparation.

When you clicks on a selected occupation, information is displayed about that occupation including recommended skills

improvement and available jobs.

The occupation match area of the database also has options to check out secondary occupations matched, in-demand occupations, or search for certain occupations.

By clicking on the “My Accelerator” tab you will find recommended tests

and courses. You are able to click on the links to access the tests and skill

building exercises.

Clicking on a test or skill building link takes you to the LearningExpress Library database

You can also click on the “Tools to Get Hired” tab. Under this tab there are several resources to help you with interviews, resumes, and cover letters. You

can also save resumes and cover letters under this tab.

The Resume Builder as well as the Cover Letter Builder goes through questions and gives example of how these questions should be answered in

order to create a professional looking resume and cover letter.
