Industry trade shows are often overlooked by business owners
however they are actually a great way to start to form business partnerships and reach new
customers.
Justin Mares and Gabriel Weinberg, authors of the book 'Traction', rate trade
shows as one of the 19 key marketing channels for generating leads.
How can you find out when your next industry trade show is? If you decide to go along keep
in mind the following tips, which will help ensure you get the most out it:
1. The strategy involves tying your growth to existing
mega platforms by posting your content on them and grabbing the attention of some of their millions of
users.
Number 2.Use the trade show as an opportunity to gain direct
feedback from customers and the media – ask people what they think about your
brand/product/logo etc.
Test a new product to see what people think – based on their
feedback you can then improve your product further.

4. Have a clear goal before you go into the trade show e.g. I will achieve X
amount of partnerships.
And, #5…Research the trade show to make sure it’s an appropriate fit for your
business before you sign up – trade shows can be expensive so you don’t want to waste your time and money by getting this wrong.
Why not go along to your next industry trade show? You stand to gain new clients
and valuable partnerships, which could just be the key to generating a wave of
new leads.
