The Great Migration

New Settlements Puritan Immigrants followed the French and
English to New England during the summers. In 1607 there was a small settlement that was
created at the mouth of the Kennebec river on the coast of Maine.
Expansion From the coastal towns the
colonists expanded into the interior during the 1630’s and 1640’s.
They migrated to New Hampshire and Maine where they socialized with the fisherman and Anglicans.
