performance.
Don’t try to be someone you are not.
Set clear standards and then model them.
Share your department’s goals with your staff and
then ask them how they can help you achieve them.
Hold regular team reviews to ensure everyone is clear
about what is expected of them.
Give feedback openly and acknowledge the expertise of
your staff.
Encourage creativity in your team and don’t be too weak
to admit your mistakes
Remember that managing and leading are not the
same thing.
