This is a mall situated in Vashi. It is ahuge mallConsisting various different brandsand each brand has a different outletI have observed a few peopleshopping and tried noticing which kindof customer behavior they have.

Customer 1

OBSERVATIONGoing to one shop to the otherHaving a look on every stuff on displayTaking their own time in checking outstuffJust roaming about but buying nothing

CUSTOMER 2

CONCLUSIONShe wanted to make sure, what shebought was the best of the lotaccording to her

OBSERVATIONShe was looking around and stopped where ever she saw a sale boardWould see if the things in the salewere of her useWas choosy in buying Took a lot of time in deciding

INFERENCEShe was sale centric and was attracted to outlets with ongoing sale

Customer 5: Tresmode , little world mall, kharghar

Observation:•Customer entered the store after she saw the SALE option•She checked the product and the prices•Asked for different sizes for the same product •When they informed her about the unavailability of the required size, she spent another few minutes looking at another products and Eventually walked out unsatisfied•Spent nearly 20 minutes in the store

Inference:Though the ‘upto 70% off sale’ attracted the customer but the unavailability of different sizes of the product lead to NO PURCHASE.

Customer 6:More, Little World Mall, Kharghar

Observation:•Customer was carrying a list of things she wanted to buy•She spent half an hour to pick up her required products•Checked out other different products•Finally went to the counter and paid for it through Card

Inference:Regular Customer

Customer 7: Parcos in Inorbit Mall,Vashi

Observation:•Specifically mentioned the Brand of the product she wanted•When tried to convince her to buy some other brand, she denied.•Spent 15-20 minutes in the store•Card Payment done

Inference:Brand loyal

Observation:The customer bought shirts and trousersFirst he choose the brandHe preferred payment by debit cardAverage time spent was 30-40 minutes

Inference:customer who are brand conscious and they don't mind spending money with respect to the brand they want

Customer 9:Shopper Stop, Inorbit mall, Vashi

Observation:The customer bought shoes First he look at the price of the shoes He preferred cash paymentAverage time spent was 45-55 minutes

Inference:After going several rounds he choose the one that suits his price

Customer 10:Central,Raghuleela Mall,Vashi

Observation:The customer bought trousersThe customer choose the color He preferred payment by credit card Average time spent is 40-50 minutes

Inference:The customer choose the color that made think it will be a best fit for him

Customer 11:Zara, Phoenix mall, Lower Parel

Observation:The customer bought a bucket of hot and crispy chickenThe customer paid by cashAverage time spent is 30 minutes

Inference:the customer chooses the item he want to eat

Customer 12:KFC ,Glomax mall ,kharghar

Customer 13: D-Mart (Kharghar)

Here the customer buys a grocery items.

Observation

•The customer was buying only necessary food items , customer was pricecautious comparing the prices of every food items with its substitute items.•Customer spend more time in comparing the items.

Inference:From the above observation we can infer that the customer was pricecautious and does not want exceed his budget limit. Mode of payment wasdone through cash.

Customer 14 :D-Mart(Kharghar)

Here the customer purchased grocery items as well as apparel .

Observation

•Customer is willing to buy the grocery /food items of best quality products•Purchased some apparels which is at first floor of the mall.•Customer spend less time in picking the items.

Inference:Here the customer is very brand oriented person, prefer good qualityproducts, does not bothered about the price , mode of payment was donethrough debit card.

Customer 15 :D-Mart(Kharghar)

Here customer was interested at the apparel section

•ObservationCustomer purchased T-Shirts , Kurtas , foot wear, home decorative itemssuch as curtains,bedsheets etc. Took much time in selecting the clothes,and was fashion oriented customer, spend lot of time in apparel section.

•Inference:Fashion oriented customer , mode of payment was done through debit card.

Customer 16:D-Mart( Kharghar):

Here the customer was moderate in making the purchase.

ObservationCustomer made purchased on kids related items as well ashousehold items. Purchased bundled pack of Maggi, bundledpack of different biscuits , Kinder Joy and other various items.

Inference:Mode of payment was done through cash , customer was givingmore preference to kids section other than in purchasingvarious items.

ObservationsCustomer bought kurti from Max1.Selected kurti according to price.2.Kurti were of different pattern3.Colours prefered by the lady was blue.

COMPLAINIn some kurti size was not available. Material was not good.

Customer 17 Max in Little World

Customer 18 Globus in Little World

Observations1.Girl selected many tops.2.Taken the trial.3.Not bought any tops.

InferenceGirl came to globus just to know the latest trend in the market.

Customer19 Mc donald in Little WorldObservations1.Whenever you go, you will find crowd all the time because the food items are reasonable.2.Teenagers can easily the throw the birthday party to there friends.

COMPLAINCustomers find difficulty to settle themselves. Tables are not cleaned

properly.

Customer 20 R city mall in Ghatkopar

ObservationsThe showrooms of jewellery, sarees etc.There people were doing window shopping just looking the things.In malls people usually do not enter the showrooms of jewellery.If they go they just see the latest collection.

Customer 21-At Arsha designer collection

ObservationsA girl was with her mother was choosing various type of suits. She bought five suits after watching ten to twelve suits.Mode of payment was cash.She took around half an hour to select the dresses.They seemed to be a regular customer.

INFERENCEA person who wants to buy what they like do not spent much time while in deciding.

Customer 22- At ESPHELLO

OBSERVATIONA couple was shopping .They were selecting the dress very fastThey did not bothered to ask about the price whatever they like they purchased.They were very brand conscious.Mode of payment was credit card .

INFERENCEThere are people who did not bother about money they purchase what they like.

CUSTOMER 23 – AT STREET MARKET

OBSERVATIONSThere was a huge crowd , women were shouting at the top of their voice.A woman of around 30 to 35 years old was bargaining for the bangles .When the shopkeeper was ready to give at the price what she wanted she refused to purchase.

INFERENCESome people have the habit of bargaining even if they do not want to purchase.

CUSTOMER 24- AT TOY SHOP

OBSERVATIONSA boy took his father at a toy shop.He pointed out at many toys but his father bought only one car.He started cry .So the father bought him many toys.Mode of payment was cash.

INFERENCEIf a child wants anything parents are forced to buy at any cost.

CUSTOMER 25- Reliance Trends, Kharghar

OBSERVATIONSCustomer checks out every apparel in the store.Spends about 30 minutes in the store.NO PURCHASE
