The audience for my media product would be people aged 16-25 which are the main age group which go to the cinemas. This is because my film is an action film which will be appealing to the younger target audience because of the fact the actors in it are fairly young. This age group likes the action based films and I believe that I have achieved an action film opening in my 2 minute film opening. My film is aimed at mainly males because of the nature of the film, the fighting scenes and the speed of the movement. However it would be targeted at females too because some people like watching action films.The targeted audience in my mind will play a high energy sport like rugby, this will mean that they will like the nature of my film. Also I think that my targeted audience will watch a lot of films, that being action or comedy like myself. Furthermore I think that they will listen to a fair amount of music because of the fact that some of the film would have songs in which are fairly popular. On the other hand the target audience of 16-25 year olds wont like the genres of horror and romantic films because of the slow storylines and the predictability of the outcomes of the scenes.The vast majority of my targeted audience will spend most of their time doing their sports and watching films along with going out and having a good time. This will mean that their lifestyle almost fits with the genre of the film and they will hopefully like the film because it is targeted at them.

After 10 of my target audience saw my film opening I got some feedback from them in the form of 3 questions. These were ‘one thing you liked about this piece of work?’, ‘one thing you would change if you were editing it?’ and ‘describe the film opening in one word?’. From these questions I got varied responses. But overall from the first question I can see that people liked the chases sequence because of the way it was cut to go from scene to scene. Also I can see that people liked the suspense created from the actors and the choice of actors I had chosen. However from the second question which was what would you change, I can see that my target audience wanted some music in the opening 2 minutes, wanted me to make some scenes shorter and to maybe use a tripod because some of the filming was too shaky. All of the one word descriptions were positive words as shown in the table.However overall I were to make the film again, from this feedback I have received from the target audience I can see that I need to use more of the resources that are available to me and to make my filming skills better because of the long scenes and the pace. Also I would make sure that I used faster transitions to make it more appealing to the action film watching audiences so that my target audience would be more attracted to the film.
