• I would use Condé Nast as my publisher even though I actually wanted to use Harris publications because they publish and distribute magazines of ‘XXL’. Which I did my case studies on.

• Condé Nast, a division of Advance Publications, is a mass media company headquartered at One World Trade Center in New York City.

• The company launched Condé Nast Entertainment in 2011 to develop film, television and digital video programming..

• The company was founded in 1909 by Condé Montrose Nast and has been owned and operated by the Newhouse family since 1959.

Why conde nast?

• headquartered at One World Trade Center in New York City.

• The company attracts more than 164 million consumers across its 20 print and digital

• The publicise and distribute some of the following names: Allure, Architectural Digest, Ars Technica, Bon Appétit, Brides, Condé Nast Traveler, Details, Epicurious, Glamour, Golf Digest, Golf World, GQ, Lucky, The New Yorker, Self, Teen Vogue, Vanity Fair, Vogue, W and Wired.

• Some of the brands are well known such as GQ and Vogue. Even though the only music magazines published by conde nast is W and wired. Nearly all the magazines they publish are giants and have world wide attention, this would allow us as a company to give Elite magazine the best possibility in the new market.

Emap is owned by Apax and Guardian Media Group. EMAP stands for East Midland Allied Press, founded in Peterborough in 1947.

All of the following magazines were published by emap:

• Architects Journal

• Business Matters

• Computer and Video Games

• Eye magazine – Issue numbers 13–25, 1994–1997

• Internet Magazine

• Maximum

• Nintendo Official Magazine

Emap is a successful publisher however, I do not think it would be the right choice to publicise Elite magazine as the Emap is more into business and the customers of the publishers are clearly more into
