Strategic Sourcing EducationMany FM professionals aren’t aware that they are already a part of the sourcing process. Managing vendors, being involved in any part of the RFP Process or suggesting vendors are all part of sourcing. FMs are being challenged to work with sourcing teams to quantify and validate the value that they deliver to their end consumer, the store (managers) and their customers. This new challenge requires education on building partnerships and understand the fundamentals of sourcing and ways to increase effectiveness and drive down costs.

Wednesday, October 9: 9:00 am – 10:00 amOpening General Session: Trends in How We BuyWithout question, how we buy and how we select service providers has come a tremendously long way in the past decade. But, what will the future hold? What land mines and other surprises can we expect? What might we miss given our relentless focus on reducing costs? In this insightful opening general session, we will tackle these questions and more as we discuss what will shape the evolving landscape and how best to prepare for the future.

Michel Theriault, FMP, RPA, LEED AP, Strategic Advisor

Wednesday, October 9: 12:15 pm – 1:30 pmLuncheon: Key Success Factors of Facilities and Procurement Teams“We need to talk.” Sometimes, these words can make your insides quake. In a professional setting, they’re critical. The success of a facilities and procurement partnership lies in clear, concise communication, which allows both sides to deliver top line results for their organization. During this event you will hear from facilities and procurement teams who will share their best practices for establishing strong working relationships built on open lines of communication.
