Details of editing
Shelby Yearwood
Mid shot, Level
Same features of the cover image; no macro, no flash, outdoors with warm, natural lighting.
Similar to cover image, perhaps Shelby can be sitting at a picnic bench with folders in front of her.
TOC feature article about an Interview with Shelby Yearwood about her success in sixth form.On the left hand side, right next to the “Contents” title to dominate attention.
If I accidentally got someone in the background, I can clone them out in Photoshop.
Ziad Mid-shot, Level
Indoor, bright lighting so I won’t need flash.
One boy sitting at a table. Towers of books and scattered paper on a table, surrounding model. Preferably nothing in the background, perhaps other students studying. Could be shot in hallway or study room. He should look comically stressed or annoyed.
TOC article about stress and dealing with homework.
None.
Staples, and reusable stapler, other reusable stationery and resources.
Extreme close-up, high angle shot.
Macro, I have to make sure it is well lit, but not too much contrast.
All the items on a blank, flat surface, preferably a very pale colour but not white. (white would look too sterile and artificial)
TOC article about ways to save money with resources and stationery.
I might decide to adjust the contrast/lighting settings so that the objects are detailed but not too dramatic (shadows may make the image look too bold)
Girl Close-up Preferably natural lighting, I’ll use flash if the natural light isn’t enough
Light, plain Colour-in front of a painted wall. My model should be looking to their left, smiling slightly with their hand on their chin, pondering/thinking.
TOC button advertising a competition.Quite small, at the bottom left hand corner. The button should attract more attention than the photo.
I could edit out any facial impurities using the spot healer or the clone tool but since it’s not a close up, perfect skin isn’t necessary.
